This is going to be an expansion to Halo 3's main campaign. it wont further the main storyline, its not halo 4, etc etc.
the scene in the trailer is from Halo 2.
its when Regrets ship jumped into slipspace so close to new mombasa. it left the city in an apocalyptic state. so yes, this expansion will be set from the end of halo 2 through halo 3, from the prospective of the Hell jumpers, ODST hence the "Prepare to drop" at the end.

btw this is a new expansion pack for Halo 3. i think it is a campaign add on
either prologue or epilogue, but theres also new multiplayer for this

If you actually watch the video (and if you are smart enough) you may realise it says Halo 3, then it says "Prepare to Drop"...

Ive heard rumors of a new game supposedly called Halo:Recon. I think theres an article about it on gamespot, but bungie hasnt announced anything so who knows whats going on now. Damn them bungie people for making everything so cryptic.

The only thing wrong with that is that this video references Halo 3 at the ending. With that being said, Halo 4 has NOT been officially announced.

Rumor has it that it may be an expansion campaign that references Master Chief, but doesn't use him as a playable character. Only time will tell!
