  • I would love to take it to the forums, but presently Im spending my days learning to speak a different language and riding my bicycle around France. This week has been the exeption to very little internet access. So I'll have to save it for another day. Peace

  • lmao

  • What I initially, perhaps poorly stated was that through the medium of video (through our community), the movement is seen and over emphasised and the message of use and function, tends to be lost. I'd enjoy to discuss this further with you.

  • Well, yes looking back, what I said was rushed and as such was a bit messy. When it comes to Parkour, it is what it is, there should be no issues there. Therein, interpretation lies, as you said, in what 'needs' to be done.

  • Parkour? All I see is world and skateboarding influenced, line-stringing movements. Parkour isn't for film. Where's the use? where's the message of love and functional use for others? We are missing the point now, missing the meaning. World evils and factors are turning Parkour into a useless practice, don't be sucked in guys, go out and spread the word of love and help, don't do as others do, do what you KNOW needs to be done rather than doing things because you think they need to.

  • Ahh, the incoherent ramblings of a dogmatist under the guise of love and communitymy personal favorite. Who doesnt like love and helping one another? Clearly this video was influenced by evil.

So it seems youve arbitrarily decided the only uses for parkour; and anything outside of these is a blatant twisting of the true nature of parkour. Its not their fault though, theyre being influenced by world evils.

  • Have you ever considered the possibility that other people may have a different perspective of parkour that would lead them to a different array of uses? What about fun or entertainment? What about using parkour for social agitation, to pull American drones out of their deep ruts and force them to view their cages in a completely different way?

  • What about other uses (i.e. competitive or non-competitive games or making videos for education or entertainment) that bleed into and promote this functionality and develop certain strengths and forms of agility that could eventually help others and accomplish your particular uses?

  • Videos can be tools for spreading visual examples of this very practical way of moving and helping communities grow. Also a video made doesnt mean the spreading of love and functional use didnt take place outside of it. If you want to shape the future collective consciousness of parkour, instead of going around posting these vague rants on videos, you should make a video presenting some better uses for parkour.

  • Now even though your comment was hard to understand because of your generous use of vague terms, I dont completely disagree with youI thinkdepending on what exactly it is youre trying to say; but you are not the grand arbiter and definer of the true use of parkour, and in the church of reason, youve committed the sin of extreme generalization.

  • My question for you, xpedite: How does one quote know unquote what needs to be done? Is this through a process of gnosis or a path of logic and rationality? What about irrational people like you and I, are we screwed?

  • Sweet stuff! where in Colorado is this?
