This is exactly what I want to be doing for a career; architecture or structural engineering for Imagineering. I excelled in AP Calc and I love Physics and drawing, I really look forward to getting a substantial undergrad education prior to going to the workforce. After some years of experience in firms while in grad school or whatever, I really hope to snag an internship at Imagineering.
@A113Productions bro, that's awesome. I hope you do well. =) I wanna do the same thing you're talking about but for something like Universal or Busch Gardens. I want to focus on Roller Coasters and such. =) Good Luck!
My goodness, I love this videos. Imagineering is my dream job. I mean, I'm not taking AP Calculus and AP Physics for fun. Okay, I'll admit that I absolutely love Calculus and Physics, because I'm a nerd like that. I'm sure many of the other Disney fans on here understand what I mean when I say this is my passion, that I eat, sleep, and breathe Disney. No, literally. I dream about new Disneyland attractions almost every night. I'm addicted to the magic of Imagineering. ♥
He isn't doing his work on a PC and "the iPad as a display unit", if you look closely, he is only playing back models on the PC through Windows Media Player.
The background photo behind Scott Mallwitz is an aerial view of a part of Downtown Disney in Walt Disney World resort in Florida. Also the Fantasyland that is being re-imagined is Walt Disney World as Disney World in California has a Little Mermaid attraction already
@element2729 Come to Disneyland Paris! For us European fans, they never tell us anything about what's going on until they're halfway through construction of things!! We have to resort to finding things from the town planning offices of Marne-La-Vallee (where Disneyland Paris is) to find out what is going on. John Lasseter visited 3 weeks ago and all he said was "I'm only here for the castle!", we really knew he was here to oversee planning for a new Ratatouille dark ride.
These are always my favorite videos posted on here. I may or may not have gotten excited to see the inside of the Little Mermaid ride even though it was in neon colors and I couldn't really see what was going on..
Nice ipad

Interesting to see this implementation. What base design software do they use? Is it AutoCad or something else?

Personally, I think Walt Disney would have been proud to see them using such innovative technology to create things for the parks. :]

HAHA It's an iPad! just say it! btw, doesn't disney & apple have like a close relationship because of Steve jobs & pixar? Why not call it IPAD? lol
iDatAsianKid 6 months ago 2
Why don't they just call the tablets iPads? That's obviously what they're using.
CecenaGuy 6 months ago
lol, you know those tablets are just iPads...and they really use them to play Angry Birds.

anyone remember when Disney used to keep all the Behind The Scenes stuff under wraps and totally top secret?
I kinda miss those days.
