@meshguns this drum pattern is amateur's warmup. Seriously what is this pattern? Repetetive Snare-2x Double Bass stroke, snare&toms rape, same double bass fills and SLOW gravity blast. Easy as shit. How about something really complex like these time signatures - 11/8, 13/4, 15/16 or even more complicated - polyrhytms. Like 9/8 against 4/4, or 5/4 against 4/3. Now this is complicated and requires total indepencence and mastery. I'd like to see metalcore drummer performing jazz or latin.
@Brainthrasher Please do not use the term metalcore loosely. This is a metal beat. You can find drummers like chris adler from lamb of god playing fills and double bass gallops like these. There are not many Chris Adler's out there. Second of all we know how much you know about music because there was one double bass fill throughout the whole track. Try playing those double bas gallops and bursts with regular double bass pedals without that bounce back feature.
@meshguns and these patterns are the most common in metal, especially in shitty metalcore. These are the very basics. Oh and don't worry i know exactly what is fill. The word "fill" itself explains everything. And who said that i use "bounce back mechanism" in double bass pedals?
