After studying Ron Paul and other libertarians along with studying Austrian economics I'm inspired to run for political office. I want to start with city council. gay marriage is about insurance cost- a gay couple have more sickness than married couples- This is a way to get healthy married couples to pay the medical bills of un healthy gay couples. He wants to repeal Roe v Wade because he's a strict believer in the Constitution, and the law is a breach of our 9th and 10th amendments, which leave all unmentioned laws up to the people, and each individual state. States' Rights IS a libertarian stance, or at least a Jeffersonian one. Less federal laws? Hell thats what we are founded on. Ron Paul said he would have voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964. He also opposes women's rights and earned benefits. He gave a keynote address to the racist John Birch Society in 2008. He's also a Christian Reconstructionist and a creationist -- and, as his anti-choice position shows, not even a true libertarian. Don't be fooled by Ron Paul. All in all he's very much like that other far-right isolationist, Pat Buchanan.
