as a formal loss prevention officer i can say this, every store that has LP has a strict policy on waiting to apprehend a shoplifter until they've left the store. Most officers if not all are familiar with these policies that protect the business from potential legal action if the wrong move is made. This man has obviously not left the store, so there for there is no legal way he can successfully be charged with shoplifting. If the top story is true the police and the business are in trouble.

What happened was this: a 54 yr old man was with his 5 yr old grandkid. He was going to buy a $15 video game. It was so crazy that he put the game in his belt so he could keep his hands free to hold the kid. The cop asshole swept his legs and knocked him out brutally! Walmart had 5 cameras in the area that were supposedly not running ON BLACK FRIDAY! He was NOT shoplifting!

According to the police report. He was not resisting. So yes, the officers here should have their positions on the force terminated. Was he shop lifting or not? We may never know. The report only says he put the item under his shirt to hide it from others, and people on the video said he was shop lifting. Regardless, he should not have been slammed that hard on the ground. ouch.

He WASN'Tshoplifting he was their with his grandson, he put a $15 video game in his waist belt so he could pick up his grandson and move out of the way of a mob of shoppers that were rushing the store.
