Not really effective, you wasted 4 sniper rounds on that same spot. The .50 cal is another story, but only on a tank. If a APC driver sees a DPV or other small car, he won't waste time either rocketing/or shooting the threat. The cars are so easy to kill. And the drivers are left right in the open; heck, you could snipe the driver with ease.

Well, nice thing that you can destroy it by shooting at that point, but i think that because of you usually need to move a normal layer is to unaccurate to really destroy it that way. I still prefer AT Missiles.

this technique is pretty much useless as each hit wont do much damage(even with the 50 cal. M95).its better to do this with AT anyway.Plus,hitting this spot of the APC is quite hard to hit.

there is a weak point there and in theroy a good at could land one there but it would be hard. and im pretty sure that if it was movinga siper would not beable to tank 5 clips into it but there is a definitive weakspot

If you pay attention he gets in the APC first. If you play BF2 you should know that after a vehicle is entered then exited, it will start loosing health after a period of time. The sniper is doing nothing, hes just trying to scam you. Why the hell else would he hop into the APC in the beginning?

I'm afraid it takes far longer than a minute for a vehicle to explode from full health just from the natural damage process (which doesn't begin immediately anyway). I jumped in the APC to show that it was at full health.

There is no weakspot for the APC. From BF2 Mod editor. It is about 40 damage each AT hit

ANY light armor vehicle can be destroy by a heavy machine gun. an of as far as i know. the .50BMG is qualified as a heavy machine gun.

try to do that with a medium caliber.

Yes, but only the .50 cal one. So if you're a gunner and your tank is against a LAV-25, you should fire away.

thats wat i was thinking... it may have a weak point by the time u fire the 1st round , u will be exposed and then many more 25 mm bullets are coming ur way then u can handle and fire bak it ...

and with it moving , weakness or not , u wudnt be able to destory it
