  • Lets not compare. They're their own beings with things in common and things not in common. Does it really matter whose better? Lets just enjoy the climbing.

  • osman was a nut job first, climber second. He never climbed close to as hard as sonnie, let alone on trad.

  • ... Osman was a climber and a hell of one too. He did tons for this sport. Pushing it pretty darn far, and did quite a bit of work on equipment testing and modifying. Sonnie Trotter is probably the best trad climber ever alive though, no point in comparing.

  • Im prettty sure Tommy Caldwell is a better trad climber. Pretty much owns El Cap. And has lead a 15.a, but dedicates himself to trad climbing. And his freaking wife Beth did meltdown which is a 14.c on trad. Freaking sick. And harder than cobra crack. And Tommy is definitely stronger than Beth.

  • I hate comparing climbers who do things at grades I don't understand. I respect both Tommy and Beth as amazing climbers. I do not withdraw my statement on Trotter though, but it is highly just an opinion. Add Dider to the list of top crackers if you want. And BTW Beth = EX-wife is what we're hearing : )

  • @Pomattic tbh hes on par with dave macloud

  • Neither did anyone at that time...?... Osman pushed this sport, and far. And made possible some of what Trotter (and co) is/are doing.

  • Nah, dont agree. He just had a different outlook on the sport.

  • He was a goofball, yes. I mean, he looked like an extra from Wayne's World. But if you think he couldn't climb hard you don't know what you're talking about. He was a 5.14 climber when the list of 5.14 climbers was very short.

  • you suck go away dan was greatness

  • No doubt man. hes awesome.

  • man he is easily my favorite climber in the world, what a champion
