They aren't schismatic so don't have to leave. They don't commemorate the Patriarch due to his heretical ecumenism. They rely on this canon:

This is the hosory of the "Old Calendar" church: a bunch of bishops who created their own church so that they become bishops. Later they returned to the official church.

Boo on Bartholomew! his Ecumenism and craziness on M.Athos has gone way to far. He definatley needs prayer to return to true Orthodoxy.
I feel sorry for the monk, but then again.. "Blessed are they who are persecuted for righteousness sake."

Throughout the history of the church, the blessed saints died protecting the truth. The way of the cross has always been prosecuted. Blessed be the path of the Esphigmenou monks. Long live the heroes.
From an ex-new calendrist Greek Canadian. Shame on the true heretics who fight the fight of falsehood. Bartholomew and all who follow him, whether they choose to admit it or not. Ignorance cannot be claimed when you have eyes to see and ears to hear.

Why would people want to commemorate Patriarch Bartholomew?? He has prayed with Muslims, Jews, Catholics!!! and what? that's not being heretical(sarcastic)!!!! How can you be called Orthodox Christians when you pray with faiths that reject the very existence of our Saviour Jesus Christ and our spotless Mother of God!!!

even the heretic church of skopia don´t accept them. please don´t be that fanatic and foolish. when i got there and they found out who i was the started to tell me how bad the rest of the church was and how good they were doing.once i left mount athos by taking a higher ranked monk of esphigmenou with me and on the ship outside he told the people that they have the devil in them if they don´t support that monastery and the people who are following the old calendar. FANATISM leads nowhere

PLEASE!!!! first of all this is NOT the administrator! i knew the last 3 administrators very well. mount athos does decide for its self within the iera koinotita, the holy community which are all the abbots of mount athos and mainly NOT the patriarch. whatever they decide, they decide it united and with no pressure from anyone. they ave all decided against the few heretic monks of esfigmenou and recognize them as heretics, like any other orthodox church in the hole wide world does.

What is the problem? The Holly Fathers of Esfigmenu they have the right to reject the Heresis from the church, Patriarch Bartholomew is full with the works and the pride of devil together with the Pope of West.

Patriach Bartholomew is the Pope of East together with the Pope of West Rome they have the Pride of Devil, any body that confess Bartholomew as Orthodox Patriarch or what ever he is Heretic, itc not going to be good neither for Greeke Government to go and kill and evakued innocent Monk's.
All of us will see in the end some body is going to answer to the Tribunal of Hague for the civil rights.
