the fucked up thing is what he did to his body, engelbird humperdink however its spelled, lol still looks good today,he obviously didnt abuse his body,i have all of elvis's boxsets so its not like im not a fan its just fucked up an sad.
Elvis learned Karate in the army. But wasn´t one of his motivations for learning it was because guys would get jealous of him during his shows and want to get physical with him. I thought I heard or read that somewhere? Besides defending himself unlike others he wasn t doing it to me macho but rather for the more spiritual reasons which just makes me respect him more. Thanks for the Great video ElvisZone!
Great footage, Elvis was the first to promote The Martial Arts in Film and music. Wish I had footage of when he sang "If You Talk In Your Sleep" with James Burton's Funky '70's Riff...

oh yea? like i just have chuck norris on speed dial or some shit? and who said anything about america? the point is, he was doing martial arts in movies long before elvis, period.
Yeah! Not in the habit of Online Arguing with some 12 Year Old. Why are you even posting on an Elvis site about Bruce Lee? He doesn't need an agent. I probably saw Bruce Lee LONG before you did, (that's "Some Shit"). Maybe your mommy will let you stay up and watch some more DVDs if you're good, and patronize your comments like you know what you're talking about, sitting behind a computer like a grown-up. Go post on a Barney Site like a Nice Little Kid...
@ElvisCriticsSuck I agree with you..... But there's a lot of people that understand NOTHING about SINGING, about ELVIS and about Martial Arts (in the case of Elvis, Karate-do). Elvis Presley was 8th DAN in Karate-Do Marcial Art, that to say He was not even a simple "Sensei" (Master) but a "Shihan" (Great Master). Elvas WAS an 8th DAN SHIHAN in Karate-Do? So if Japanese Central Karate Dojo gave him that Title "Great Master", 8th DAN, it's ONLY because He was an EXCELLENT KARATE-DO WARRIOR...;-)
@ElvisCriticsSuck I know what you mean. They are trolls who need to GET A LIFE! It's like arguing with somebody on the Internet is like arguing with someone in the Special Olympics. Even though they win all the Gold Medals after the Special Olympics is over they are still Mentally Retarded.
What????an official complaint for what?? ..you say yourself..i'm the queen of england... ..for your instruction..this is a rare audio of Elvis..make your homework...i have the right to say what i want too...make a plaint on me and i put one on you immediatly...end of discution..
The dancing just makes you laugh now, it has come so far since then. I only knew this song from the James Taylor version which I believe to be - sorry Elvis - superior to this. But everybody still knows that James Taylor is James Taylor whereas Elvis remainsl the King.
Been in the fan club 28yrs a fan longer[big collector} but ive got a GREAT excuse for missing the sound on this one as I had the volume turned down[ or the wife moans }and I only listened to about 10 seconds, must wash my ears out.
It is sad that in the 1970s I remember the period as bittersweet with both Tragedy & Joy. Loss of my Loved Ones & Entertainers. It should have been enjoyed more but with the deaths of Janis Joplin to Elvis Presley made it impossible to be the most enjoyable decade in history. It was a real sad waste.
Excellent! I have alway loved this song! Elvis had more soul in his little finger than most people have in their whole body! When Elvis turned it on WHOA you better watch out!
Elvis was always a brilliant performer and had the most gorgeous voice, I wish that he was still with us... I will always love him, Elvis was and still is my hero.
Some people can copy his voice (kinda), some people can look like him (kinda) but nobody ever can be both! Elvis had everything: the voice, the looks, the everything!!

ever heard of a little guy named bruce lee? he championed martial arts in film long before elvis.
akadirkashaba 2 years ago
Nobody heard of Bruce Lee until Enter The Dragon, his Earlier Films were rarely shown in America until after his death.
Presley's 1964 Film "Roustabout" was one of the first times
a Popular Actor used Karate in a film, several years before "The Green Hornet" was even thought of. Talk to Chuck Norris or Khan Rhee...

Yes, it's a James Taylor song. Elvis performed it in his live shows, but never made a studio version.
