Hey there, I'm trying to update an iPhone that's version 3.1.3, it's backing up for hours, when I click reset warnings nothing happened, except there was a pop up that say if I wanna help apple report bugs or how I used iPhone, I voiced no thanks, and it's still syncing for a long time.

That's really strange, that a sync would take that long, ever since I have had my iPhone 4, the MAX time it would take is 5 minutes if that. More like 2 minutes or under for me. The difference I have is a couple, i am using iTunes 10.4x and Mac OS 10.7, the video showed iTunes 9x and windows. I wonder if there were bugs apple also ironed out in later versions of iTunes, and if a mac just works overall better with apple hardware.

after i right click and then click reset warnings... no other window pops up. i have been experiencing 40 min music syncs on the 16gb iphone 4... idk whats wrong with it. any ideas?

woah this made the normal back-up for me only take like 7 minutes (used to be like 3-4 hours). Hopefully now the ios4 back-up will be this fast

I can't make my iphone to backup! It took me 13 hrs yesterday and it wasn't even close to being done, so I cancelled it. I've been trying to sync and backup my iphone since June and no luck. I tried your method yesterday and no luck. What's wrong with my iphone? Would you please help me

ok i got a BIG problem!.... i canot update to ios4.0 bcuz the back up its taking seriously forever!

it doesnt even load at all and i have left it for about 8 to 12 hours :[

now if i do this do you think it would help at all????

@alma969 What do you mean it does not load? Itunes or the recognizing the iphone. I would wait to update to ios4. There are major bugs to be worked out and many apps have not updated yet and if they have there is big problems with crashing.

If you can get your system to load this is definitely worth a shot. It won't hurt anything and will only speed it up.

@1edgarsaul I would not update to IOS4 yet. It's too buggy. I always wait at least 3 month or longer before I upgrade. You could run into more probs if u do.
