ive just recieved my supplies in a dream for preparing ayahuasca the real way, not with rue or hostilis. icaros alway bring tears of joy and unity to my eyes and im am blessed and so excited to be able to prepare my own brew and have my first. i want to learn these so i can sing and call the crrect spirits. im not sure if thats all the songs are for or stabilizing mindsets of the travelers?
@Ericsoonn3 Hi. Usually only the chaman sings. It`s not necessary for the "traveler" to sing along. A foreigner not necessarily needs to understand what he`s saying. I suggest you to download the audios and just play it for as if it was a real chaman singing in there. And yes, the icaros do work as "stabilizers" as I stated a couple of comments down this page. good luck.
one question when the visions do arise why is it that these shamans sing there icaros? does it help you stay on trail with the trip? and to keep you mellowed out?
@MarioNet2555 That's a good question and yes, it serves for many things, some of wich you just mentioned. The Icaro functions like a hook or anchor to grasp to, when visions become too strong or "rapid". It`s kind of way to return to reality (but not at all) by turning your attention to the sound and not being so focused on your sense of vision, in moments when you really feel your mind is going to lift and fly away. Hope I made it clear enough.
I take Yage (much deeper work than Ayahuasca) and the visualizations and the details are only the superficial thing of all the process. For me, the spirit healing is after the intakes. You get rid of everything you are NOT and you start knowing who you really are. Objective: become FREE.
I wish there were more people like you in the world. ive taken ayahuasca once and it was probboble one of the most important experiences of my life. i understood myself better that i ever had before and i can say that i have become FREE
I'm agree with you...i took ayahuasca and it's not a "drug" it's a natural medicine for spirit , mind and body this plant come from nature there's no chemestry, it helps you to face your fears, your past and you just feel released from a weights that we all carry for the bad and good experiences in life :)
Yes, this video reminds me of the 2 times I tried acid... watching plants *growing*, walls breathing, a picture of my mother sitting in a chair, looking like a buffalo head... wierd, but this is really neat!
Anyone else want to share some wierd experiences that they saw while on this stuff?
The egos interpretation of the visual and auditory sensations after the effects end is what is most interesting to me, peoples interpretations of the experiences during use, coupled with scientific analysis can form very logical theories and hypothesis.
Beautiful icaro - and your visuals are very nice indeed. What strikes me most is the love, recognition & respect for all living things in this extraordinary amzonian ecosystem that comes thru in the voice of the shaman.
its shaman the ch is an accent!

There's nothing hippie about it. It's an ancient religious ceremony. Don't be crass.

@rulomono if you were truly 'free' perhaps you wouldn't be playing one-upmanship. Yage and ayahuasca are the same thing.
