    2) How to antibiotics help pain? They're for INFECTION, not pain.

    3) Why don't you just shut up?

  • @servingthealiens He used the wrong word. Big deal. Why don't YOU just shut up?

  • Good for you, Jamie

  • This video made me cry so hard... I just wish my tics could stop as they are getting worse and worse. I am so happy for him that the surgery was successful, I can tell the relief and can only imagine myself what it would feel like to not have tics: I don't think I can understand what it would be like TRULY but I know in the way when I take valium and benadryl or am on morphine in the hospital and I get a sense of 'normalcy' and I don't have to be sweating from constant twitching. God Bless.

  • Good on ya Jamie...... all the best with yourself and your new life.

  • hahahahahahahahaha

    Go with god.

  • I have levied the idea of the surgery among other methods but have found through personal relaxation techniques I can lower the activity in the string of thoughts that increase my ticks. Anxiety, frustration and anticipation seem to be the key emotional states that boost my reaction, relaxing those aspects I can find it much easier to control my self. An idea of elevating above my physical state I can pick up the precursors just before a tick and hinder the bursts of energy.

  • I almost cried. And I DON'T CRY ABOUT ANYTHING! Okay, i'm fighting the misty eyes....

  • :( this tourniquets is bad :(

  • I feel so happy for him. you Cant imagine the relief that would bring if you don't have tourettes.

  • God Bless him and his mother .......

  • God?!? God did nothing dam him with this disorder! It was science that should be bless!

  • I have vocal tics ...it makes me very tired barking out the air twice as much I can breath in, it feels like not enough oxygen going to my body and it gives me anxiety this wy, i do have mild depression, i have tried everything possibly with no help so far. I hate it I hate it i hate... it makes me sad. Sometimes i will tic until frustrated and breathless

  • do give up keep fighting

  • @narreshramdayal I've been there, and more likely than not, it will get better and you will learn to cope.

Treatment can be quite effective if done right, too.

  • @narreshramdayal You seem to be suffering a lot. So, I'll say like Westymedia, don't give up. Do something like de guy in this video. Seek for neurologinal options because if you are not breathing well then you really need medical attention. I'm sure ther is an answer for you out there! Don't give up!

  • Beauitful

  • amazing, my 11 year old son will be having the DBS surgery for his severe Tourette's this summer. We are hoping to see similar results!

  • i have the vocal tics he has...not as bad but very noticeable...

  • Pretty amazing! I wonder how he's doing these days.

  • They need to make a remix with this guy, like rap chop.

  • lol, if i was this guy's room mate, I'd always think he's jerking off!

  • jeeeezus what a fucking crap comment.

    ya deadshit

    anyways. beautiful story.

    I have TS too!!

  • thats an amazing story. he has some beautiful eyes too :)

  • Has everyone ever thought of all this technnology getting in the way of natural population control?

  • for every disease or disorder,

there is a cure; we just need to find that particular cure !

  • Amazinin.. Glad der is a cure..:)

  • amazing.

  • woah, jesus! thats really cool how the hell did someone invent that!?

  • trento654 you're a insecure loser who makes fun of people that have disabilities because you're jealous so go leave people alone and maybe, just maybe... someone might give a damn to anything you have to say.

  • i wonder if brad cohens heard of this

  • Deep brain stimulation seems to be a great treatment not only for Tourettes syndrome but in any case of involuntary movement disorders and other diseases (Parkinson, depression, obsessive compulsive disorders). Since its approbation by FDA in 1997 it has proved to be a useful treatment for a lot of patients. • that as so scary, how do they get to his brain?

  • i wirks ok, don't debate it you curious lil shit

  • seeing jamie after this operation was amazing literally knowing him for the last 14 years, and seeing the result i recomend that anyone with tourettes to get this it will change your life as it has done for jamie. this has opened so many new doors for him and its so amazing.

  • stop exploting you friend's 15 mins of fame, this is shit noone cares about , sorry

  • You are precisely the reason why we are putting this stuff up here! Have you ever heard of Tourettes rage? I pray you never cross a raging Touretter with your putrid Fascism, because you won't enjoy that, I can assure you!

  • i have seen a touretter, he said some really funny shit

  • This is amazing, i have Tourettes and I plan to get this one day, I am only 13 and I really want to get it when I get to about 17. It must be amazing to be able to just relax, without getting that urge to move or tick. ;-; I hate suffering from this, I cant wait till I am old enough to get this.

  • must suck being abnormal

  • NONE and i mean NONE of this segment is funny, jamie is my best mate, and these are things he does with his life even with the tourettes, they didnt make him do anything, he showed the simple things he couldnt do......

  • This must be one of the most touching segments of Today Tonight I have ever seen. Imagine being treated with the flick of a switch after 18 years of suffering. My faith in (some) doctors has been restored after seeing this.

  • Thank you, I appreciate it, you must never give up, life is a journey

    westy

  • they make him play pool and pour hot water.... sif that wasnt the funniest part of the segment!!
