  • So to clean your iMac... hoover it.

  • How would that make if faster

  • Had constant 45-50 degrees (Celcius) temperatures even with high fan speeds. Did a clean and now it's getting lower than 25. Seems like the vacum cleaner gets the job done :)

  • My iMac started making a loud fan noise tonight - i followed your video and it stopped. Too funny. Thanks for the video.

  • Hi, I'm currently hearing a buzzing that seems to come from the fan. Could this be due to dust? Thanks!

  • Cleaning like this is a waste of time and only cleans superficial, You need to take out the screen and and use compressed air can to clear out the fan and heat sink, you will be surprised as to how how dust is gonna come out that way.

  • Looks fine to me need to test this i dont wanna open my imac

  • i just fking took my imac apart took the fans out and blew them with a air compressor i also took the logic board out and took the heatsink off and lew that out too pain in the ass tho as u have to re apply thermal compound

  • @Mooseguy15 not to mention you void the warranty and when you have a new iMac worth $1,800 you don't want to do that.

  • @iDoiStuff well mine was from mid 2007 so im covered

  • @iDoiStuff ur so retarded ive taken my imac apart so many times nothing has happened and my warranty is still valid

  • @Armaangandevia1 ugh.. news flash, taking apart your iMac voids your warranty. I think you're the retard here.

  • @iDoiStuff ur right it should strange how apple installed a new hd in my imac for free cuz it died

  • @iDoiStuff That is true.

  • @BIGBPRODUCTIONS100 What is true?

  • @iDoiStuff 3600 lol

  • Its not the static electricity thats causing more problems here. Its the vacuum.

When u using it, u not sucking even a bit of dust from that computer, u just pressing the dust harder against the inside of the heatsinks and grills. This makes the dust stick even harder and even less air will get sucked in and blown out. Its then airtight. Just a bad bad really bad idea, u will in a few months have to take the damn imac apart and clean it the old fashion way, paintbrush, tops and a screwdriver.

  • @justicesword1 and why not?

  • @MrJskrueger I realize that static electricity can build up with high volumes of air being sucked out of a machine, however I doubt it will damage anything particularly if you are well grounded. Please explain why you say NEVER, when I have done this many times and have never damaged anything industrial or consumer.

  • @09TexasTitan awesome! did you notice a difference? or did you just clean it for maintenance?

  • i just pop open my laptop then blow 110 psi of air through my fans and it works fine

  • i just pop open my laptop then blow 110 psi of air through my fans

  • @MrJskrueger first off I don't have an apple reseller near me.

second of all HOW can this wreck it? this is 100x more safe then people blowing condensed air into their computers.

thirdly, APPLE SUGGESTS DOING THIS ON THEIR WEBSITE!

  • @iDoiStuff A vacuum cleaner creates static electricity, wich is deadly for sensitive electronics! Compressed air is not bad in any way, it´s just air being blown.

  • @MYsterYmarcus apple suggests themselves to do this! instead of compressed air.

air blows all the dust and crap further into the computer where it will just sit and pile up.. blowing the crap further in isn't helping!

  • @afterall30 He who i replyed to said that using a vacuum cleaner is 100x safer, wich it is not. It´s the other way around. But i can agree on the part that it doesn´t just blow air around.

  • @MYsterYmarcus Wrong, compressed air (in a can) liquefies the air around it and often leaves residue, which can short out motherboards. The best way to clean a pc is with a air compressor hat has a condenser attachment.

  • WTF ARE YOU DOING?

  • @Tangenvgsfilm giving my iMac a bath. :)

  • @Tangenvgsfilm YOUR MOM LOLOOLOLOLOL JKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJK I LOVE SAYING THAT TO PPL BUT REALLY IM JUST JOKING WHEN THEY ASK "WTF ARE YOU DOING"

  • @skillet228 You're too ugly to doing my mom.

  • @Tangenvgsfilm hahah ikr this is a dumb idea

  • Does this really work? and does it fix the noise problems?

  • @UvoraPlayer well it works yes, I never had any noise issues so I wouldnt know.

  • nice haha u dont have to like take it apart or anything!

  • @AllTechSource nope, I used to use compressed air to clean the vents in my old computers but once I got this iMac I heard you shouldnt do that because its just blowing all the crap farther in the computer.

  • nice video dude!

  • @DarGadgetZ Thanks :)
