This situation is not necessarily a lack of training, but rather the lack of training under stressful circumstance. She obviously shouldn't have had her finger inside the trigger guard or even pointed at the suspect and fellow officer. The adrenaline she was experiencing combined with the lack of adequate training, most likely caused this situation. I hope this situation caused them to evaluate the training methods with this officer, which may have resulted in a better program.

I am just going by what I have read. Look up "glock accidental discharge". The gun is extremely reliable, TO FIRE EVERY TIME. That is why police officers (in the past) were brandished with the glock. Unfortunately, it's been reported that even a slight touch of the trigger can cause the weapon to discharge. I do not know the speicifics nor am I an expert, however I know more than most of the kiddies making wild assumptions here who have zero knowledg e of anything.
