  • Really interesting! thanks for sharing!!!

  • ahhh coach leng! wtf!!!!

  • I have a question, can this routine also be used by someone doing brazilian jiu jitsu ...I find that BJJ and Wrestling are sort of cousins....any recomendations would be super awesome. Btw I am writing from South America, just so you know !!

    Cheers

    L.

  • 15min buddy carries -.-

  • wrestlers = aerobic, thin powerlifters!

  • @WhosATroll

yes we are supposed to carry our weight!

we do 50 yard sprints 3x carrying a partner the same weight class

  • nice workouts,

    i'll try them

  • this looks pretty stupid

  • do wrestlers lift weights or just have extremly good conditioning and strength able to carry there body weight

  • @WhosAtroll yes they lift weights they need to be extremly strong

  • Anyone else recommend some workouts that are good for wrestlers. I know the big three(Bench, squat, deadlift) and turkish get-ups but what else? Thoughts?

  • @JLSealy2 maybe try power cling? I've been doing these for awhile now and have noticed a huge difference in my leg and core strength.

  • @leadguitarist921 I think you mean Power "Clean" not cling bro

  • CrossFit. Best workout program for wrestling. Period. Go to the website by searching "CrossFit" in any search engine.

  • @JLSealy2 I usually like to do circuits of core, tricep, and shoulder workouts.

  • all core strength

  • i went to the website, but it says wreslting dvd comes at the spring of 2010

  • How much (and how often) do you smoke pot?

  • what a wonderful and so interesting and new subject:

    An Americain TV Commercial

-in natural colors- to make us pay and suffer to become so nice as you and friends???

Wow! So great. I think i need it and a new plasma tv !

  • How did the first guy do at the olympics?

  • i read that he didn't qualify at the trials, maybe he meant he is training for the trials??

  • GO BUCKEYES! im from Cleveland,Ohio

  • so were the program bro

  • all videos are 40% off through this weekend!

  • Deadlift all day baby!

  • This video is legit. There is no substitute for heavy weight training for any athlete. But strength while being "off balance" is crucial for wrestlers. All great wrestlers have incredible balance. Traditional bench, squat, and deadlift are still necessary for overall strength and development, and the video does stress this.

  • bench is nto crucial to success in wrestling

  • all videos are 40% off through this weekend!

  • @McGurgle

Not true, Karelin never incorperated deadlift, bench or squat in his routine. He lifted kettle balls, did pull ups, push ups, climbed ropes, ran, box jumps... no heavy weights necessary.

  • A. Not enough tension.

    B. Note explosive enough.

Seems like more balance oriented training than anything else.

  • you need to listen more and talk less ..and learn.know it alls learn nothing and can do nothing but talk shite.

im sure this not the total workout einstein.

  • dude this shit is useful. it may be balance oriented, but balance oriented weight/strength training is the most beneficial kind there is. it is also ballistics training and plyotechnics which is extremelllllllllllllllllly crucial to success

  • Force developement occurs in the hips and it gets transferred through the core. Thats why I think wrestlers should still deadlift and squat along with core training.

  • Easy to say that while you're safe behind the screen.

  • .. ooook

  • lol i can tell you got beat up by alot of wrestlers in high school.

did a wrestler steal you girlfriend?

weak emo kid + youtube = EPIC FAIL!!!

  • Interesting program but he seems to focus on balance and core activation which are fine but where are the major pulling and pushing muscles which are more heavily taxed in a match.

  • You are seeing the highlights.

The DVD has good lifting in it. You make the weights as heavy as you can take for success.

  • what do you think your abs are attached to, your hips by any chance?! this training is very basic for a start, if this is the only training these guys do they'll be getin bitch slapped all over the place- fact!

  • holy dumbbell...this guy's a friggin' tank. i want this guy's number for training.

  • hi nick osbourne

  • Heavyweights should lift like crazy tho....

  • i hate burpies...:35-:38

  • right i agree with this, its probably a real good work out but lifting weights, if done correcttly dosent hurt your wrestling abilities squats and pull ups are never bad im a highschool wrestler and i lift, i dont use smith machines etc i mainly use the bar and free weights i dont see how this could be much better than doing that, its different which is good you need diversity

  • nice video...

    i like that

    thax

    arigatou

    :)

  • This is a great alternative to working out- building the important muscles.

  • you people that are amateurs that wanna wrestler shouldnt even wrestle because now there are huge guys who can break your bones in half.

  • hay americandream24 ur a fucking retard

have u wrestled? if u have there is a little thing called weight classes and i shouldest have to enplane if u have wrestle

  • this is all for your core, cause you need to balance the whole time.

that's why dumbells etc are also better then gym machines.

  • all for your core?It certainly trains the core but training the legs, torso and arms in movements specific to wrestling are more important.Core is involved anyway. Also the core has nothing to do with balance.

  • i hope ur kidding about your core having nothing to do with balance, where do you think balance comes from?

it all comes from your core, your abs are one of the most important muscles used to stabilize and balance yourself

  • balance on your feet comes the ankle, hip and stepping strategy, core activation is incidental to these methods. How could balance originate from a segment of the body so far from the floor? Not saying you dont need a strong core .

  • and what do you think turns ur hips?

its all in the abs, you are right when you say that legs and feet are important, but without the hip movement that is controlled by the core, your posture becomes bad and thus you will have to compensate with everything else in your body.

id say legs are second to core when balance is concerned

  • since your standing on the floor your legs have to be more important than core for balance. You may be confusing core stability with balance. The abs dont cause any hip movement but stabilise the spine and pelvis when hip musculature contracts.

  • to be perfectly honest this discussion is getting us nowhere lol

ill end with this and then leave

try standing on a beam and just balance there and tell me what u work the most..is it your legs hopping around? or is it your core twisting to counter gravity. that may be scenario specific but it is balance after all

  • that would be static balance not dynamic as seen in wrestling.

  • Isnt your core part of your hips? Like around that general area? Dont hips have anything to do with balance?

  • no,your hips are part of your core.Ive said hip movements are imoportant for balance.

  • Great workout!!..But..LETS GO BLUE!!!!!!

  • i wanna try this

  • lol, fail

Olympic Lifting mixed with Core Conditioning separately as well as Plyos and speed drills>>>>>>>this

  • lmao

  • I liked the last 30 sec the best.

    :P

  • yea!! it was pretty sweet!! :P

  • awesome... I'm training SC with Matt Mollica and I train with your old SC students.

Hope to meet you one day.

    cheers,

    John Hsieh =)

  • if i just do regular weight training will it be bad for wrestling?

  • not bad, but there are a ton of functional movements you might not be training enough, as well as training certain things you dont need.

  • not at all, bulking up will only help.

  • Thats great news, I have pair of dumbbels and a band :)

  • Can I do these moves at home? Because I dont like to going to gym so much, thanks.

  • This workout was designed to be able to do at home with rubber bands and a stability ball. Dumbbells and a bench may help but a little creativity can overcome that obstacle if you can't get your hands on a set of dummbells.

  • I have seen a lot of wrestling training systems and this is VERY GOOD!! I understand the training system, but how many reps per exercise we have to do?? can anyone tell me? ...thanx.

  • The reps and sets are layed out in the DVD that is available at builtsolidtrainingsystems(dot)com . The reps and sets change throughout the progression.

  • Cool he is using those balls and getting great success!

This is the guy that trained Phil Pfizer to win at the World's Strongest Man.

  • thats cool because there are not many weight training programs just for wrestling

  • really good job, this is infact unique :) Excellent program.
