@MyPs123 I don't deny that this guy is feaking awesome, I don't deny the game is one of the best I've ever played, heck I lived slicing those guys, but the stab the guy and look at the sun thing is just too simple, ignores the rest of the characters and is not good for eyesight to look at the sun, I wanted more epicness coming from this game

shinjiro claimed he forced tamiko & jian to repair his sword.

problem 1, it takes a LONG time to make/repair ANY sword. you reach him a couple hours later

2, as the nazis found, you can't force someone to work w/ quality under duress.

theory, jian refued to help, was killed, while shinjiro hoped to use tamiko as bait to get your sword. it'd really suck if she died, after all the times you save her

okaji was a better “final boss”, scary as Hell!

The game was sweet, but it could have been better. As far as the intigration of wiimotion, they just about mastered it in this game. There's not much room for improvement in that aspect, which makes me wonder what fresh-new ideas they could come up with for RS3. I'm thinking they might change the style all over again. I certainly hope they change the way the game progresses. That whole linear, mission list felt kinda cheesy.

This game was pretty awesome. I love how inventive the special attacks were. They were easy to pull off, easy to remember, and despite how many there were, they were all useful. Made killing people more tactical.

The end of the game was a little dissapointing. It really didn't feel as drummed up as it should have and the final boss was felt tacked on and easily beaten. Close-quarter defense with tiger block spam is all that's required...and allowed. Try to use a gun at all, you get shanked.

I feel the game is really just worth getting, I saw it on a commercial one day and heard "it is the best swordplay game" or something like that and I didn't believe it, I read the back of the case at GameStop and was amazed. I am really glad I got this game, in fact; I would pay MORE for it! :)

@pizzamaster110211 the sherif is fine. not sure about tamiko and jian. he broke the blade so no one could ever use it for evil again im guessing.

@GrandJass Yeah, my question would be, Why *wouldn't* he break the sword? I mean, a whole bunch of innocent people killed over a piece of metal? Screw that.

It also makes an interesting parallel to Red Steel 1, which also ended with the hero breaking the sacred katana that the villains were after.

As for Tamiko, they weren't explicit about it, but it's very heavily implied that she's dead. :(

@pizzamaster110211 He broke the sword so no one would come after him again. I'm not sure what happened to Tamiko or Jian though...I think Jian is dead, but Tamiko will probably live. Hopefully we find out in a sequel.

@IRSPONGEBOB I have to say i agree with you one your point that he broke the sword so it wouldn't fall into the wrong hands, but i think there's more going on here... I believe he broke the sword to show shinjiro not only did i kill you with the sword you died trying to get, but now the swords broken, thus making your (shinjiro's) death in vain. Also, I'm pretty sure tamiko is dead. Which would make sense because in the "Challenge" section of the game, this mission is called "revenge".

@TheKatanaSamurai Oh yeah, he definitely also did it to shame Shinjiro even more...Actually, that's probably the main reason he did it. Not really thinking of the consequences, just wanted him to feel more pain. You're probably right about Tamiko too...Too bad, i liked her. :(

Boss 4, Okaji rematch, shoulda ended here. (i dreaded this fight for HOURS, then spamed exploding ammo)

Boss 5, Shinjiro ninja mask, wuss who runs & throws cheap taunts, then dies when he can't run anymore.

lol i beat him on high difficulty and i beat him with no health damaged but it took me a long time

(he's pretty easy if you just parry him and USE THE TIGER, it will help SO much

I would really like a sequel to this story in Red Steel 3, but it's not gonna happen. It seems Ubisoft is going to make a new story per new Red Steel game. The ending of this game says it all. Ubisoft did leave out the fate of all the characters of this game. They could at least shown credits cutscenes of what happened to the characters. The hero was really badass. A new favorite badass character for me. The fight cutscenes were awesome as well.

i really hated this fight, for no other reason than it was anticlimactic, i died several times trying to beat him, and when i finally did beat him, it wasnt in an epic struggle (like the times i died) it was out of sheer flailing desperation, when i landed the killing blow, i just kept hacking away at him, thinking i had merely stunned him. then all of a sudden, a cutscene shows up, and im like "well the fuck?"

overall though, epic game, the first fight with him was awesome too.

Not only is it ridiculously easy (it's a final boss fight!) and much easier than your original confrontation with him, but the final cutscene completely neglects the other main characters and in fact does scream "to be continued" in due to the whole "other clans" statement, unless you mean text actually stating that in which case I apologise as there clearly isn't.

@Maninc11 The parry blocks his attack when you get too close to him and you can easily defend from his bullets with your sword on the vertical. So just keep dodging to the sides, be quick to defend when you get close and attack whenever you're behind him, its pretty easy!

With an ending THAT unsatisfying, my first thought was "Okay, do I have to beat it on hard and/or complete all the bonus objectives to get a better ending?" Guess not.

Oh well. Other than that, it was a fun game. (And I will admit, it reminded me of Trigun so I ended up quoting Vash the Stampede a few times. Love and Peace!).

yeah i literally just finished it and am stumped. I can't get further enough back to get to a shop to upgrade my shit at least for the challenge mode. But theres still badges and token things to collect up until the last boss, so I don't know what the hell they where doing there because its not asif you will have a use for them.
