@teofaouaz Very Easy to fly....Take it from me,I'm on my 2nd msr In a month...I'm waiting on parts to rebuild the first one....reason why I crashed the first one is because I watched to many video's with people flying the msr outdoors...That was my mistake...You can only fly the msr outside with absolutely NO wind at all...even small breezes will throw this (less than an ounce heli off track) but not hard at all controling the 4 ch...parts that break easy are the 'canopy' & 'landing skid' weak.
I have just bought one of these, RTF. I am finding that I have to re trim it every time I fly it because it acts differently from the last flight! I am doing something wrong? Cheers.
Also, when hovering, it will be more challenging when the area beneath the helicopter isn't flat, due to ground effect. A google search of helicopter ground effect will educate you further. Imagine standing on a skateboard and throwing a 20 lb. rubber ball towards a wall, you will move in the opposite direction. Ground effect is likened to that same ball coming back and hitting you, transferring it's energy partly back to you, which it got from you originally, when you threw it.
Thanks! The dx7 has exponential curve functions that take your inputs and either changes them into large outputs or small outputs, varying the output with relation to dead zero on the controls. Makes hovering much easier and you can flick a switch to turn it on and off. Most high level radios have this function. Certainly worth it when very precise control is needed. (Used on space shuttle controls)
Decent flying dude...however... Any helicopter+LCD tv = expensive repair bill for the tv ...he'll the msr is bulletproof and a blast to fly ...just be careful round the TV and the pets.
LOL ... somebody who dislikes a video because he was "tricked" by a misleading title is a moron? So what are you and the uploader then? Tell me why a pirouette is a trick and I will "like" this clip. And also tell me why it says even "tricks", shouldn't there be at least two?
@yapyapyapyapyap In this case, yes, because the title states it's a Blade MSR which anybody even remotely clued into the rc heli hobby knows is a tiny fixed pitch helicopter that is incapable of 3D aerobatics. Remember that in life things are most always presented from a relative, not absolute perspective. Example: Someone who's inexperienced and has just learned to fly a Blade MSR and can do a pirouette is performing a trick from their perspective. School over.
@JaleelJohanson62 Oh, really, there are different perspectives? So from my perspective this is a boring video without ANY tricks at all, and I dislike it as much as I want to. I know what an FP heli can do and what not, and guess what, it's more than pirouettes, you clever dick. Now school's over.
@yapyapyapyapyap So, you're telling me that you know what FP heli can do and yet you came to a video featuring one expecting tricks that it can't do? It looks like school was over too soon for you? Anyway, from my perspective, the only moron here is you. I also choose to dislike you as much as I want to. lol
LOL ... with some simple modifications you can do some pretty tricky stuff with an MSR, you prick! There are dozens of videos that show that. And even without these modifications and good flying skills you can do lots of things you could call "tricks", there is no need to do ridiculous 3D crap for that. But anyway, if you're pissed by any "dislike" you dislike, then you must have a funny life! Try and get a better one and learn to calm down. You might get a heart attack or two.
@yapyapyapyapyap With some simple behavioral modifications you can manage to not come off like a douche too. Don't worry too much about my heart. Laughter is good for the heart and I've been laughing at you for a couple of days now. Thanks for the laugh btw....
@yapyapyapyapyap ROTFLMAO.... The discussion started with me calling you a moron and it will end with the same. Now be a good sport and put your head back where the sun doesn't shine.. Moron... LOL
any one that has touched any rc aircraft can pirouette a BLADE MSR NON STOP... lol and that behind the back deal was you just overcopensating for the prior move over the coffie table "the updraft from the rotors kicked you back and you regained out of the spin" that does not count as a trick its just called flying around in a circle...
i can't choose...i was in love with the nine eagle solo pro which is very similar...but this looks also amazing both for indoor and outdoor. What would you recommend? The price is quite different. of course i'm speaking of RTF packages, i have no radio.
Great flying. I was laughing at the heli munching demon comment! I'm looking to get a mSR now and wondered how my 2 cats would react or if they would not care. Your seemed to not even notice it there. Thanks for posting.
be careful around the cats. one of mine knocked my msr into a brick wall and knocked the tail bruch cap off. just be careful, its too much of a fun heli to ruin on a cat!
@slickrick i was having trouble with that but i found that instead of easing it off the ground just blast the throttle- mine shoots straight up as opposed to drifting around.
no he countered the tail rotors force at lift off. ALL single pitch helis do that. when they take off, due to ground effects, the heli will go a little left due to the tail rotor pushing that way, and also sometimes if you take off slow they will spin first, all normal. ur heli is fine.
If so, just give it a short stab of right bank (aileron) as you lift off. It will probably bow out to the right a bit if you give it a tad too much, but you'll get the hang of it...
ive just started to get this problem where if i go all the way forward, it barely putts forward. i can give it 100% on the right stick forward and it barely gains speed. I adjusted it by screwing the little thing on the servo, but now i have the same problem but backward.
I think im going to buy the blade sr too... who else has that problem?
Sounds like she needs a good re-adjusment - and probably a bit of trimming on the Tx.
Where did you buy it from? If you got it from a shop (no off the Internet), take it back and get them to re-set it for you. My local hobby shop is really helpful that way...
I like mine alot. I think I made a mistake by getting the MSR, and not the MCX first, as i'm new to flying helis. I had to replace alot of parts due to this (tail motor twice - did the tape mod), and had to do alot of trim issue tweaking. It's loads of fun though, and have the fun is fixing it for me. Now I need to learn to crash more, so that I can put it all back together :D
GREAT VID! i am almost ready to commit to getting one of those little gems but i'm not keen on the standard TX though as rather cheap looking which is the opposite for the heli so will look out for a compatible well priced proper TX :)
@Joshb60796 I have a lot of practice with MCX coax. Ordered a MSR RTF and I'm barely able to hover it stable. Is this normal ? do you have advice for TBE or tuning ?? I noticed that you use a DX6/DX7 does it worth the value for a newbie ? I just want to be able to control it better.. ( or control it at all...). Advice ?? you really did great on your vid.
to fly it well you need some altitude. Hover about 3 to 4 feet off the ground, give small inputs at the sticks, you'll be flying smoothly very quickly. This is a nice little indoor heli to enjoy. Remember, small stick inputs, smoothly.
I read a couple posts stating that the common sense rc batteries last up to a minute longer but I haven't personally ordered any. I only fly my MSR for 5 min for battery health. Flying to the Low Voltage Cutoff is bad for your LiPo so an extra minute is a 20% increase in time. E-Flite should have included 4 batteries though..they don't even cost them a buck a piece. I still would have bought more.
i have 3 stock 120mah and by the time im done with the 3rd battery the first one is charged :)
4 will be enough ild assume for most peeps, im gonna get one to put away for a spare, unfortuantly my LHS dont stock the aftermarket batteries at higher mah :( but still i average about 6 mins a flight which is not that bad i supose :)

its rotors are soft, flexible plastic and besides that the heli simply doesn't have enough mass
