  • This is sooooo cute >w<

    I love this song

  • does she call jack jakku or jack-kun like the honorifics?

  • @Mangobitz 彼女は「ジャック」って言うね。

  • @Kiyorocket ???

  • @Kiyorocket ああ、そう彼女は敬語を使用しないのですか?

  • @Mangobitz I heard Jakku

  • @Mangobitz I heard Jakku

  • @KagamineSydmay Its how they say "Jack"

  • Catherine O'Hara (English version), Yuko Doi (japanese) and Nina Hagen (German) were the best!

  • I like it, but i like Amy Lee's verson better :)

  • Although this is really beautiful, the fact that it has such a strong vibrato makes it sound a lot less natural, and much more... rehearsed? I think that while it's technically better than a lot of versions of the songs, the real charm of it is it's feeling and the spontaneity of it...<3

  • this is is pretty good but i preffer the latin spanish version better than this one and the english one

  • Hmm.

Both English and Japanese sound amazing

Given Catherine O'Hara isn't a singer yet she rocked it

Yuko Doi sounds beautiful as well

  • i like it better in japanese

  • When I figured out that Shock and Sally were voiced by the same woman in BOTH languages, I shat bricks. xDDD I seriously did a spit take.

  • I Really Really Really love this Version!!

My favorite movie in all World combined with Anime XD wich also Love!

  • i prefere the englishm it seems more innocent and had that gothic uneveness in it.

  • True, it's more stabilized, but not better. Without Sally's shakiness in voice and imperfections she's not Sally. I think the English version is better, it gives way more emotion

  • very beautiful....buta little to much vibrato.......too opera sounding...

  • @Fluteplayingbandgeek i agree 100%. this singer might be 'better,' but the original was perfect because of its marred qualities and imperfections. it fit the character, spirit of the movie, and theme of the song more than this.

  • ¿La actriz que prestó su voz a la versión japonesa no es la misma que la de Kasumi de Dead or Alive?

  • tiene una voz más vieja pero... creo que canta con más afinación que

Catherine O'Hara ¡¡ARRIBA JAPÓN LOS OTAKUS Y LA SALLY JAPONESA!! :3

  • Hey, Japanese is pretty good!

  • Ahhhh!!!! This is so awesome!!

  • check out my version of this please well it's really a jack and sally slideshow

    on my account

  • WHAT IS THIS I DONT EVEN

  • Beautiful!! *__*

  • die syncronstimme von ihr ist soooo schön in japanisch besser als die in deutsch oder englisch

  • ¿Who sings this version? Please!♥><

  • Hello a question you do not know where I can find the lyrics of this song but in Japanese?

  • This beautiful song makes me cry, even in the english version. Danny Elfman, plaese make more beautiful songs like this, and Tim Burton Plaese make more movies.

  • @chazmarepps4 They are actually planning to make a sequel.

  • @MITRWXS A sequel to the Nightmare Before Christmas?

  • @NinjaNina9 They were going to but Tim Burton said no because he didn't want to turn the movie into a series. He felt turning it into a series of movies would ruin. Though the guy who did Coraline said he would make a sequel for Nightmare Before Christmas if Tim Burton does the story.

  • Can you put the romanji lyrics please??

  • come vorrei essere Sally....<3

  • i personally like the original better :I she doesn't sound to sad.

  • suena hermoso en japones

  • can somebody please post the lyrics for this please! :)

  • @cheraemen9996 Here are the lyrics in romaji (spelled out Japanese): Kaze ga sasayaita higeki no makuake wo tasukete agetai fukitsu na kiri no naka chikadsuiteru no yo ano hito wa kidsukanai setsunai kono kimochi ni kanawanu koi kodoku yo, kotaete futari no unmei wa machi no zawameki ni tokete shimaetara watashi ni wa dekinai yume mite mo kanau hi wa konai no todokanu hito sou watashi ni wa
  • @CoffeeOholic

    Thank you so much! :D

  • I actually prefer the English version, it just sounds darker and sadder to me. Still, very cool.

  • her voice is uber soft

  • ништяк!

  • "Sayonara Jaku !... Hitoshi Jaku..." ♥

  • @M0RFic

    What a shame!

    Sayonara Jack...Itoshii Jack...

  • @2007royroy What a shame !

    "Jack" in Japanese is "Jaku"...

    Oh My God !

I've forgotten ONE letter and write Itooshii with a H, please kill me :'( !

    WTF - -' ?!

  • @M0RFic its not that they changed his name :/ they can't just say that... even if they want to...its not their fault...

  • This one is pretty good, too. But I still prefer the rendition that Amy Lee did.

  • @DurlindanaFaz88 Then...go, watch it english?

  • @XenonMan1

    Japanese version is good.

    but English version love!!XD

    beautiful voice!!!

and i really love American movies :)

  • this sounds pretty in Japenese

  • Ah.... So pretty.....

  • It's nice to listen to the songs that u love in different languages. I love this one as well as the one in German, I hope to hear the one on French. All such beautiful languages! :)

  • i am Japanese,

    i like it!!

    but i love English ver!!!

  • @00sakuramochi00

    Funny really

    I am American

    I love it!

however I love the Japanese better than English.

  • J'adore, que ce soit en français, en anglais ou en japonais cette chanson est magnifique!

  • aww cute^^

  • I love the English one, but this Sally sings a little better than Catherine O'Hara. She actually has vibrato, and sounds more like a musical actress.

  • @phangirl91 agree with you. and yes, she is Actually a musical actress. :3

  • @geveente She is? What's her name?

  • @phangirl91

I somewhere read that it's Yūko Doi (Japanese singing voice of Pocahontas :) )

  • It does sound prettier in japanese!

  • I like it in japanese, it has more feeling.

But it doesn't sound better BECAUSE it's in japanese.

This girl just knows how to sing better than the english speaker.

But the english version is more natural, and not everyone can sing, even in movies.

  • in asia is feeling= sounds- and the complete video is synchron- more synchron than in any other languages, even german (I am german!) it´s much better impression!!

  • Amy Lee's is still the best hands down lol.

  • The Asians Know how to put feeling into songs.

  • she sounds better in Japanese.

    man i love this language

if only i could speak it

    /sigh

  • Sally's voice is wonderful (and not badly acted either!) in Japanese. So pleasant <3

  • Why everything sounds so pretty in japanese?

  • I LOVE this version and no I'm not Asian lol...I'm Black :)

I thought I would broadcast my race since everyone else is doing it lol >_^

  • @technicolor87 *Jumps on the band wagon*

    Why yes! I am white!

  • @Lolanimationcrew Lol!! Awesome! Hey-did I mention I'm Black!? I want everyone to know this cause its VERY relevant! :D lol

  • @technicolor87 Yay!!!! Ethnicity!!!!!!!!!!

  • intrestinghow , both english and other peole form aorund the world could sing togheter (this is halloween is another example

  • go japanese people! ( i may or may not be slightly japanese<3)

  • Nightmare before christmas+Japanese= :D

  • this is so epic :D

  • In Asian(:Chinese,K(C)orean,Japanese) Versions of TNBC, They Hired Professional Musical Actors and Actress' for Dub the Original Song. Maybe, The Singer in this Version is Musical Actress, too

    Ps:i'm Asian too. :3

  • @geveente prove it! speak your language

  • @Ragensu64 히히히힛, 보다시피 전 한국인이에요. ^3^ (hehhehheh, I'm Korean, As you can see.)

  • man this song gets me in english, spanish even japanese the guy who wrote is a genius, Danny Elfman (i mean he even wrote the opening for THE SIMPSONS how cool is that?

  • how beautiful (:

  • ^-^ 私はサリーを愛して

  • I'm learning Japanese, so I'm sure this will help in the future.

I think it's so beautiful in Japanese.

  • beautiful japonese version

  • Kawaii no desu!!!! Arigotou

  • Yay, I want to sing this one time. I love the japanese language. Who is the singer? Pleas answear somebody.

  • beautiful, its just so beautiful

  • is there a link i can go to to download this version of the song???

  • she kinda sounds like an real life version of miku hatsune, she really actually DOES sound prettier in japanese. i think that almost ANY song sounds better in japanes

  • This is soo beautiful!!! I love this version and english :3 it's plus that I understand Japanese x)

  • i think it sounds beautiful in all versions =)

  • it sounds fun to sing my teeth hurt cause i cant... because i dano japanese. lmao but it sounds awesome in japanese ima try to sing it!!!

  • Japanese and French Version THE BEST!!!

  • ouaiiiiiii c'est vraii!

  • I doubt the lyrics are still the same, it's like national anthems when they're translated. I noticed the word "yume" which means "dream" so you tell it's not quite the same, but I'm sure the meaning's there.

  • so beautiful and ... and.. awesome! *Faves*

  • Hauuuuuuu ~ ;_; ~

I love her voice in japanese!!!

  • 10000mal besser als in deutsch!!!!

  • Lol. I love how everybody instantly moons over this version just because it's in Japanese. Original voice and dubbing is still on top for me.

  • I love Seiyuu. XD Just in general. They're incredible at nailing the character its self. Not just to fit the stereotype like many American voice actors do.

  • amazing !!!!!! i love it <3<3<3<3

  • this must be the best dubbed song of the entire dub movie.

the singing kept up with the rythme and the voice is very beautiful to boot.

the rest were kind of off

  • Sally's Japanese voice actress is amazing.

  • I know. They really captured the emotion!

  • How pretty. The japanese found a very emotive voice for Sally. I love it.

  • also if i´m from germany, i like the japanese version the most, the voice is unbelieveable!

  • Pretty!

I'd like to listen Corpse bride songs in Japanese!

  • i love japanese !!

  • her voice is so prety in jap

  • I love the english and jap versions!

  • I love her voice X3

  • freaken awsome love inglish and japanese and sort of germon version

  • This is such a melodic song. I like it!

  • This is beautiful. The Japanese verison adds a little more depression to the song so u can see how sad Sally is.

  • @MiniMoon10 NO it is the language barrier that does this. Without a good clue as to what is being said along with cultures ideas and ideals, both taking years to grasp even as a first language. You are left with only phonic and emotional adhereance, and some sense of timing. Thus you are given an illusion of stronger emotion and phonic (example of phonics is like when I listen to the kidnapping song in German and I can get pass the constant 'S' which may seem naturual as a German).

  • this is so cool! i like japanese and english tho. good job! =3

  • whoa

    it's better in Japanese.

    as iss everything else.

  • I wouldn't say that

  • you, mam/sir, are completely wrong

  • I likey!!!

  • this song is actually a tad more depressing with the japanese translation. the sadness in the english is somewhat general bu the japanese meaning is persistently depressing

  • this is so cool. although i like the english version better. i guess its because im used to hearing it in english but whoever sung this version did a great job

  • sally can be such a downer even if shes just caring loosen up girly!!!!!!

  • So fucking cool, even if it's in Japanese!!! :D

  • I like the english better

  • 250th rating person. :D

  • this is so very beautiful! :) lovely...

  • can you add the japanese lyrics to this plz i want to sing this to someone

  • I don't like this version as much as English somehow.

  • DESU NOTO

  • que tiene ke ver death note con todo esto??

  • i like so much in japanese!! :D genial en japones!

  • She sounds so beautiful! ^w^

  • Oh yes, she does!^^ I really like the japanese version.

  • this is actually really beautiful. now, why cant someone translate death note to english?! so annoying... but this is incredible.

  • but...there IS an english dub for death note..

  • no, im talking about a professional dub, rather than some fanboy with a cold who has to re-rhyme the entire song. no offense, he was still most excellent. and theres no dub on the second season themes.

  • No, there is a dub, now. You could go look in your local anime DVD selling store. :) Trust me! Adult Swim plays it every Saturday. And about the song... I remember this was my FAVORITE thing to listen to!! :) I still LOVE it!!! I was Sally one year for Halloween and I learned the song by heart so I could walk down the street at night singing a haunting melody. xD I did it, too!! I sang the song with my friend, Caitlin! :3

  • lol, I love to sing it too :P

  • I think they mean the dub of the song.

  • um... there is a professional dub. They showed it on TV, in fact, they finished the series... I don't know if Adult swim still shows it, but you can find the DVD's.

  • I hope "Coraline" will get dubbed in Japanese, too.

  • Is it just me, or did the english version sound congested?

  • OMG!!! This is actually good! This is fantastic. The best dubbed over voice in TNBC!

  • Wooow, her voice sounds so beautiful in Japanese! Omfg, love. <3 (: It's so much better in Jap, no joke man.

  • i liked her voiced there.

  • Where can I get the Mp3 'cause i want it!!??

  • i can give you the mp3, if you want

  • Three things:

    1) She sounds prettier in Japanese

    2) This rocks

    3) Asians rule

    *cough*I'm Asian*cough*

    ...">>

  • they do:)

  • @Riiko279

    I agreee!!

    まったく同感です。

    and i'm not asian

    アジア人じゃないよ!

    日本が大好き!

  • @Riiko279 Asians DO rule. I'm not Asian.

  • @Riiko279 HAHAHA i no right!!!

    *cough*I'm also Asian*cough*

  • @Riiko279 im asian too who care

  • @Riiko279 i agree with the 2nd and 3rd but the thing is that the voice for sally couldnt sing....so thats the reason that this verson sounds better....

  • @Riiko279

i agree but li the Fiona Apple version sounds more goth

  • @Riiko279

i agree but like the Fiona Apple version sounds more goth

  • awesome!!! ^^ its so pretty!

  • I love it so Much.

  • :O Wow. It's beautiful!

  • I love how sorrowful Sally sounds in this. It slightly makes me want to cry.

  • 大好きです。可愛いサリー(*´д`*)

  • sayaonara, jack.

  • I think the German and English are best, but I will say that the girl that sang the Japanese dub has a beautiful voice. Absolutely lovely. ^-^

  • cool

  • YES I finally found Sally's song in Japanese! YAAAAY!

  • i speak only english ....an yet i really like this she sings this so wellXD

  • beautiful.

  • For some reason, I've always thought that Aya Hirano would make a great Sally. XD If you don't understand why I think so, go watch "Misa no Uta". I just think her voice would be good as Sally.

  • sI, Tienes razón, Haya Hirano pudo haber sido buena para interpretar esta canción y doblar al japonés la voz de Sally...

  • omg shes voicing sally?

oh misa no uta. that song is cool! i love death note xD

  • Hmm I know what you mean, she would, I'm a big fan of Death Note Myself :D

  • cool. I wanna watch this whole movie in Japanese now
