@reidshum that's a 2.0 liter turbo. the genesis coupe has two options being the 2.0 turbo or the 3.8 liter v6 which is natural aspiration. with any luck they will take the 4.6 liter V8 out of the sedan and put it in the coupe to make it a true contender. but who knows. all i know is i love the 3.8 track package!
Quite a boxer-esque sound from an inline four. Sounded great, looked great. Deep and smooth tone, rounded out with a BOV make this a great representation of how much care Hyundai has put into this car. I would buy one.
@Trollensteinowitz Good point. In terms of what I could know, compared to what I do, in relation to the amount of information and subject matter this world has to offer, I'm incredibly stupid, which makes you a complete retard.
In response to your first question: Hyundai could have slapped the Genesis coupe together in a feeble attempt at making some extra cash. But instead they took the S15 as inspiration and built what could be an amazing car. The smooth sound of the engine represents this.
@Trollensteinowitz For instance, if you hear a piece of shit car drive by, you hear it. You hear this go by, without seeing it, it might, at some level, arouse your interest. That is the point. Hyundai built a pretty nice car. I mean, with the help of Mitsubishi to some extent, but even then, they made sure not to skimp.
i'm going to have to agree with this.. if hyundai cared about their customers, they should have ironed out the interior rattles and squeeks before rolling this car out. I went to test drive one last night, and it was a big disappointing. Still amazing value none-the-less, but not nearly as refined as I hoped it would be. Also the 2.0T was less powerful than I hoped for (nothing a few bolt-ons couldn't fix!). Its more that Tanabe cares about the sound and Tanabe arouses our interest...
sounds nice but looks ugly as fuck like all the fugly oversized medallion series. and the lame ass muffler cutout on the rear diffuser for the 2nd pipe.
is it fast
