enuf with those MERE buildings (designed by civil engineers).. mhlig kc cla pumpel t mgmarunong, pti architectural kinukuha,. wla nmng alam about function, aesthetics, etc. hehehe,. sori s mga ntamaan.. im just saying the truth..
Green is in nowadays.. and that invention is eco-friendly. Metal is the no. one recyclable material of all recyclable materials.
The modular concept is ok. Application wise for the 1st floor is a possibility. I'm not sure about the load bearing capability, water proofing and durability during the dreaded typhoon season. Otherwise, the concept and artworks are good.
I guess your a student...or might have a students mind? Structures cannot stand alone on paper design and presentation of concept...you have to think its possibility in actual construction. Magaral ka pa and gain more experience in the real world of construction. Dont rely on your college professor's do's and that.
Hey fellas...guess your all dreaming! trying to reinvent bahay kubo with an average cost of materials would be too costly for those who have nothing (squatters i mean) or those in the rural. I do not agree with your concept. Aside from being costly the method of construction is not applicable in actual..except of course if your using high quality materials to sustain stability of its structural forms for 2nd floor, 3rd floor and its roofing. Your ideas is only good in blue print not in reality.
@ tananing pano naging costly ang concrete? steel pede pa maging costly, pero lagi naman ginagamit un sa construction e, tska wala naman gaanong forms ung nasa second and third floor e, box nga lang e, kung building naitatayo eto pa kaya, ung roofing pede naman un e, ndi nga lang pinoy ang dating pero pede toh, tska bahay kubo is not for squatters only or poor people, magresearch ka. if ever maitayo toh, ang magbabayad naman nito gobyerno natin kahit alam nating corrupt.
This is awesome...We need a design movement in the Philippines. The Phil gov need to build housing project like this (to get rid off the squatters) and hire Filipino engineers, Filipino designers, and architects. We need Filipino skills in the Philippines not in other country. I think if we do this we will be able to confront other problems such as poverty, pollution, and it will inspire younger filipinos to be innovative.
the problem imo is brain drain... alot of educated people relocate to hong kong, dubai, canada and the us... and from my experience alot of the youth are stuck going nowhere...
cool. i see mies van de rohe in that design...probably suited for metro area...sana ito e gagawin sa mga depressed area ng metro manila. kung baga sunugin lahat ng squatter tapos tayuan ng ganito lahat... pero impossible yata. hehe. joke lang ang sunugin. anyway, its cool pare.
The main structure's components plus its major panels are made of the most recycled building material in the world: steel. Other materials are light weight insulated concrete wall panels, plyboo modular floor panels, glass for the fenestrations and other green building materials like PV's, etc.

i thought you're design was quite hypothetical.. and where's the modernity of bahay kubo?! i couldn't see any..
on the other hand, it was ok! in reality, i guess, it needs much much time to do that..
THAT'S ALL ABOUT MY OWN OPINION!!!!
