  • Wow, the tenors in this group can really put out the sound - you barely hear the other parts lol

  • Very good!!

  • we sung this at choir festival... best song we sung that der

  • Nice to see how these young people sing the song so eagerly

  • @wiriad Posture sucks.

  • The organist looks very young, I wonder if anyone knows who it is, he's very good. Nice and polished. The choir was excellent and yes, it is good to hear young people singing hymns.

  • @MrMusic1984 That is David Harrison on the organ.

  • I'm young Southern Baptist and it makes me happy to see a full choir singing hymns....this is so rare...the mormons and catholics makes us look bad and its good to see us still out there doing things the old and right way!

  • Beautiful arrangement by Gilbert Martin. Lyrics by Isaac Watts. Music by Lowell Mason.

  • ¡Precious words!

  • I love this song so much. We did this in choir at my church! All glory be to God, who saved us all from our sin!!!

  • What a wonderful song and a great organ.

  • Brilliant, moving performance! I hope this great group populates the church choirs of the next generation.... what great things will be possible!

  • Gorgeous -- thank you for sharing this! This is my pastor's favorite hymn, and a great favorite of mine as well.

  • i Love .... "Baptist Church"

  • Absolutely beautiful!

  • That is very powerful! The words and music combine to bring a tear to my eye. Thank you so much for posting this. What a great choir.

  • Incredible! :) one of my favourite hymns

  • WOW -What a performance! Beautiful! And no scores! Great job!!!!

  • Isaac Watts wrote some 600 hymns. This is considered one of if not the best hymns written in the English language. Thanks for the posting with the backgrounds.

  • Bravo!

  • I got to sing this while I was in the Florida's Ambassadors of Music on a tour of Europe. .. Amazing! I love this song. It was the most wonderous feeling singing it for a mass over in England. Very well done. By the way this is a very hard peice to sing the choir is on flat ground and the dumb conducter puts the boys in front of the girls. . .grrr. . .Tipy toes only go so far!

  • I had to sing this in the dark. It was really cool.

  • What a *Delightfull* experience :)

  • The KY Baptist All-State Youth choir and orchestra is doing this one this year! I'm so glad I found you guys doing it. It makes it so much easier to learn! (:

  • we have song this song like for 6 years in a row at my school and we all love this song we sing it a little diffrently but i love it more and more every year! and we are taking it to contest this year! (first year that has happend)

  • We sang a slightly different arrangement of this for tenebrae on Good Friday, and I have to say you seem to have capture the mood of this piece MUCH better than us. (Although this was after we had sung for 4 other masses, so by the time we got to this piece, we were about ready to collapse.) Good Job! ^.^

  • I sung this arrangement of this hymn at Sierra Vista First Baptist Church in Arizona while i was there for AIT. Roger was a wonderful conductor and miss the whole choir.

  • Bravissimo! I sang that song with a traveling Baptist choir when I was around 18 or 19. I couldn't believe I had spent my whole live in the Assembly of God and missed out on such a good hymn! This was very well sung and I can't help but wonder if the kids understand the archaic lyrics. I guess that depends on their education.

  • I have sung this anthem with my church choir for many years during Lent. It is so beautiful with the young voices.

  • we're singing this song at my school, even though we have a choir of... well barely 12 =) this is a beautiful piece and you guys sound amazing. It's great to be able to actually hear all of the parts..

    great work! (=
