  • Musicologists say that this movement is "not pianistic". If it is not pianistic, wherefrom does it come that under the fingers of excellent pianists (as here) it sounds so beautifully ?

  • Dude, I must say, this is just awesome... AWESOME! I love it!

  • Very good interpretation,... but... don't you like the music? Why not repeating the exposition?

  • He does!

  • nice setting

  • I love the energy in your sound!

  • Thank you!

  • Superb interpretation, beautiful music!

  • Herrlich. Habe eine Aufnahme von NDR-Kultursender. Seitdem kann ich von dieser Sonate nicht mehr ablassen. Herrlich! Keine Elegie kann diese Stimmung besser herüberbringen!

  • a brilliant performance tbh

i know how difficult this is to play and i think you caught the spirit brilliantly

technically you played this fantastically as well - you made the A major chords sounded so easy .... HOW?!?!?!

    amazing mate keep going

  • Excellent interpretation! Powerful, and a good recording too, with clear and loud sound quality.

  • Very good. I play this sonata myself. So I know it well...Very good

  • This is one of my favorite Schubert pieces. Nice interpretation.

  • Hi Boris! Sorry my english not very good. Ì'm also studying this sonata and its really musycally and pedagogyc your performance. Thank you very much for your post. Greats!

  • Thank you very much! It is such a pleasure to receive such a nice and supporting comment! All my very best wishes for your studying!

  • His legato is very refined and smooth XD

  • I am working myself on this sonata, and I find Boris' interpretation thrilling. He takes the 3/8 pauses in measures 4 and 9 and so forth very brisk! I love the second movement. After the thunderous measures 25-28 carry over into 29 and here the transition from fz to p is actually faster in the original. The last movement is pure fire works and I wish I could play it that way. Great Schubert playing. How about performing ther two a-minors (the small and the grande) here in the US?

  • Thank you very much for these comments. I would be happy to perform the two a-minor sonatas in the US, especially that this is one of the programmes I have been thinking about for some time. Let's communicate via my email - piano et borisfeiner dot com
