The Top of the Gateway Arch: St. Louis, MO

Great vid Andrew, this brings back many of my memories from many years ago, going up to the top of the Arch. I'm hoping to return to STL by either the end of this year, or early next year. But we'll see.....

I visited St. Louis and the arch in 1997, but sadly there wasn't enough time to go to the top.

I was on top of the arch last year and it is a different view of the city and the highways. And it was just plain awesome.

Ah. I figured it out. There was an earlier local dedication in 1966 and then there were some bigwigs (Vice President and etc) who did a formal dedication in 1968.

@stlmopoet1 Well, on Wikipedia it said the Arch was inagurated in 1968, and the picture of the plaque on there said it was dedicated to the people of the US on May 25, 1968, just look on the wikipedia page.
