This is quite an old vid and at the time most people played it without effects or whammy pedal. Also this isn't really improvised like the others were. Follows closer tho the original version on the Division bell album. tis all!
Hey cheers! Yea I've done a few upgrades to it over the years. The neck pickup is a Bare Knuckle Warpig, i pushed the original front pickup in to the middle position and replaced the rear pickup with a Seymour Duncan Double rail. The front pick up is coil tapped and the two rear pickups are out of phase. I'll be uploading a vid of the different sounds asap
i have this song on guitar pro, and it says you gotta go to like the 30th fret for some notes, are there even 30 fret guitars? or is it using an effects board like you got? because i would love to be able to play this!:D
on that subject, how many years have you been playing?! i've been playing almost 3 years, think i stand a shot of being able to play it yet? i'm not the best, but i'm okay lol :D anyways, dude.. NICE! lol
Hey! Cheers for the reply! yea the most frets i've seen on a gat was 28 so i'm guessing guitar pro doesn't work around effects. I've been playing for about 4-5 years.
As far as teaching goes that could be a little difficult as i play by ear/cant really read music. So the only advice i can give is to play by feel! I've seen a lot of excellent covers of this song with out a pedal so if you don't have one it shouldn't matter too much. sorry i couldn't have been more help.
nope not at all! :) most of my effects are produced from my boss me50 (multi effects board) which has a built in whammy pedal function. i used an echo. not sure of the decay time. i think it was 3 echoes. my amps a custom and i used its built in reverb. I also used the sustain function that the pedal board has. not sure if it really makes that much difference tho. hope that helps. any more questions feel free to ask!
Hey cheers for the comment! um going by ear i think it was between the back and middle pickups. my middle pickup is the s u.s. standard front pickup that came with the guitar. the rear is a Seymour Duncan double-rail. hope that helps!
Amazing cover of the studio version check out my cover from the 50th yr old stratocaster event hope you like it
