yes, thank you for being the first person in the near month+ since i posted this to finally see that besides me. yes it is touching the smooth plastic case. i later tried cutting a hole in the plastic and putting it in real mid air - and it flies to a magnet. And call it iron filings, call it black sand, i got mine at the beach from normal sand ... dunno where you get yours but it does the same thing.
