By a persons example you will know them. The happiest people I know belong to the church of jesus christ of latter day saints and who try to keep gods commandments. I have seen it change peoples lives for real good. I am getting baptised with my husband next week as we feel it is the right thing to do for us. It has made our marriage so much better already.

I know that the Bible is the word of God. I also know that the Book of Mormon is as much the world of God as is the Bible. Anyone who reads the Book of Mormon will come to know that this is true as much as the Bible is true.

I testify and know that Jesus Christ is my savior. I was baptized about 2 years ago, and I know that He is the only source of TRUE happiness.

The greatest blessing of my life is to know His Gospel, to have a prophet to guide us in the latter-days, and to have my Savior as a perfect example to follow.

I've been doing a lot of soul searching as of late. I don't know that I can ever place faith beyond what I can see and touch. But I will say, I have nothing but absolute respect for the LDS church. What is it to truly be bold in your faith? I think it is more that just standing for what you believe in. I think it is also responding with patience, understanding, and forbearance to others when they seek to tear down your faith. If God spoke once, why not twice? Why not a thousand times?

@shandikk your correct but please understand that the Jesus that Mormons believe in is not the Jesus that Christians and the Bible believe in. Not to mention the fact that the Bible and The Book of Mormon are not compatible. Need more info on that? Just ask. Mormonism will never be Christian because of this. Main stream Christains will all agree with me. Over 15 billion of us now world wide :)

But I love Mormon people. Some of the best people I have ever met were Mormon. May God bless you!

Grats Mormons it looks like the U.S.Gov recognizes you as Christian. I still dont understand why the so called "Main Stream" Christians say that they do not accept Mormons as Christians. @shandikk I guess I don't believe in religion... I believe it is only a relationship through faith in Christ Jesus that I am saved... I believe the Bible is the only evidence for God....there is physical evidence of it. and Hebrews says that the Bible is living and active, sharper than any sward. 2Tim 3:16 says it is inspired by God, Jesus said Heaven and Earth shall Pass away but my words shall not pass away. I'm LDS and just wanted to let you know that we study and believe in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. We believe the Book of Mormon to be additional support to the Bible. It also reaffirms the fact that Christ really existed and was resurrected. It's a common misconception that we don't study the Bible so I just wanted to correct that.

I do send you an invitation to read the Book of Mormon another testament of Jesus Christ and you will find out for yourself that it is the right book, a book from God with precious truths that are missing from the Bible.

Well, we do accept the Bible as the word of God and certainly study it. But we also accept that God has revealed other sacred scripture to guide us, one being the Book of Mormon. The Bible says, In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established" So to answer your question I guess the right way to put it would be we make Christ the center of our religion and the Book of Mormon and the Bible both testify of him.

I have heard Elder Andersen preach about the bible too. This is just a talk among many other talks he gave. We do read the bible and preach from the bible. The book of Mormon is more for our day, it goes in hand with the bible. It really does. X

The entire Christian world has just the Bible and there are over a thousand different Christian churches with seperate beliefs and interpretations. One reason the Book of Mormon is necessary is because it clarifies and contains the doctrines set forth in the Bible and contains the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I do understand what your saying, and if I wasn't a member I would be confused by what he said as well, but the truth is this. We have an ongoing witness of the bible and the book of Mormon. We believe that both books hold eternal truths. And through both, we are able to learn unmovable truths of God. I believe that he book of Mormon is not complete with out the bible, and the bible is not complete without the book of Mormon.

I don't believe you are bashing Mormons. But considering that the Bible has gone through so many translations etc through the years sometimes it is hard to believe that what we have today is what the apostles actually wrote. For example, Gladys Knight... Of course, if you live in a city or town where there are very few blacks, you'll probably see very few, if any, black LDS. However, if you go to, say, New ORleans, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Africa, etc, and go to an LDS chapel on any given Sunday, you'll see many, many black members. They'll probably think that the Curch doesn't allow whites...hehe, just kidding...

A bit of a misconception, that's ok. Black people have always been able to be members, the confusion arises out of a period of time that ended in 1978 where black men were not able to hold the priesthood. A revelation granted to President Spencer W. Kimball in the spring of 1978 resulted in all worthy men receiving the priesthood - thanks for asking the question.
