  • Leg in back - good? How about that ashi guruma is a variation of tai otoshi?

  • nice timing!

  • this is o guruma.

  • really nice!

  • @stoprainlty Thanks. keep training

  • with ashi your propping legs knee starts by facing straight forward and as you throw it the knee should be pointing towards the ground, like a scooping type motion. nice vid!!

  • how come the guy in black never does anything to the one in blue??????????

  • looks like i'm many months late for this. the names to the throws are as translated. ashi guruma is leg wheel & looks like hane & harai goshi. all have a very slight difference. in ashi guruma, there isn't as much hip work for it. that's why the other 2 is goshi, cuz of the hip work needed. i enjoy the videos.

  • @IRONLION17 thanks.

We sometimes get tired of answering so many issues about the Akban-wiki.

  • harai goshi is a hook, while as you can see with this throw, the tori's foot is touching the uke and stays in contact with it

  • What is the diference between harai goshi and ashi guruma?

  • Ashi Guruma has a shuffel to step in(same as with O Guruma). And with Harai Goshi you swing your leg alongside your opponent, Ashi Gruma swing its leg against te lower part of te leg.

  • with harai goshi you sweep up the uke with your leg and hip. Ashi guruma, as the name implies, is a wheel. You pull the uke around yourself and your leg blocks him, so your arms make the throw.

  • harai goschi is a hipthrow and you use the leg of bringing the opponent out auf balance and than throm him over the hip and with ashi guruma you turn uke over the leg (guruma).

  • harai goshi you swing your leg, ashi guruma you use your leg as a prop.

  • @Jump6Da6Fuck6Up you don't use the hips to pop him up or use the leg as a spring. instead, in ashi guruma, the foot just blocks while you pull with the arms.

  • What does it mean to have the leg in bacK?

  • a very nice ashi guruma move with the detail (back foot). If the foot is in front you might take a penalty point in a match on trying ti hurt the opponent

  • Thanks

  • very nice moves on ashi guruma

  • good point about the leg being back. Very Important :)

  • as topcat1012002 said the leg doesn't necessarily have to be back - you can do it when your opponent takes a large step foward with his right leg :)

  • it's a harai gashi not ashi guruma boza ba likro

  • No, it's not Harai goshi

  • The leg does not have to be back in order to perform Ashi guruma. You can also use it with various methods e.g. the spinning entry (Step your left foot over your right and then pivot on your left foot) or by simply stepping away from your opponent and dragging them onto your right leg.

Although I would agree that it's best used in a right v left situation.

  • Hmm, I think I agree with you

  • it sounds likes he breaks his bones:o
