I would say a cars origin is determined by where the engine and chassis are designed and built. I know its german designed, not sure about the place these where built and assembled. If what you say is correct though, I would compromise by saying its a french built german car, IMO.

Cheers for the -1. You mustn't know that IMO means in my oppinion. Heres one for you then. The Veyron has a german engine and chassis, is designed by VW which is a german company and its assembled in a factory in France. It was Italian, is now basically German with some frogs trying to take some credit because some french guys put the things together. Which ever way you look atit the Veyron is basically a German car and there's little anyone can do to argue with that.

Gimme a break. The Veyron is as german as Lamborghini. Nowadays Lamborghini is owned by Audi, that doesn't make Lambos german. In the same way VW may now own Bugatti, but the car is still french made.
