It's like the norwegian song "Fedrelandssalmen" is the same melody as the danish song "Den signede dag med fryd vi ser". Fedfrelandssalmen is just copied from "Den signede dag med fryd vi ser" like various other norwegian molodies written by either danish or swedish people.
English translation by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow King Christian stood by the lofty mast In mist and smoke; His sword was hammering so fast, Through Gothic helm and brain it passed; Then sank each hostile hulk and mast, In mist and smoke. "Fly!" shouted they, "fly, he who can! Who braves of Denmark's Christian, Who braves of Denmark's Christian, In battle?"
in denmark we have one national anthem and that is " der er et yndigt land" this is the norweigian national anthem , some are mistaken because this clip is a norwegien copy off a danish movie callede "olsen banden" Har ret , sorry folks
Denmark is the only country in the world that has two official national anthems. One is the usual "Der er et yndigt land", the other one is this one - "Kong Christian", which I like better.
Denmark has two official national anthems. Although it IS true that Kong Christian is very rarely used when royalty is not present, it is still Denmark's official national anthem, just as "Der er et yndigt land" is.
I know about it (when in presence of royalty, royal anthem is regarded as national anthem). I have seen der er et yndigt land performed in front of margrethe II and prince henrik (I am a fan of Danish Royal Family) in Athens 2004, instead of the customary kong kristian stod en hojn mast (hope I got it right).
Oh, one thing missing from my list of countries that has royal and national anthem: Thailand.
The Olsen Banden movies were Danish, but parallel versions with popular Norwegian and Swedish actors were made for those markets. The parallel versions took place in Norway and Sweden, of course, but for some reason (maybe cost) it appears that the Royal Danish Theater (and with it, the royal anthem of Denmark) was kept as a setting for the theatre scenes in the Norwegian version of this particular movie.
the olsen banden movie is from denmark. they norwegian version is the same.. both the manuscript and the names :D thats why its the danish royal anthem!

The Royal Anthem is normally used:
1)At ceremonies where a member of the royal family is present (especially H.M the Queen).
2)Military ceremonies where a coulor with royal ciffers is present.
3)Raising of the coulors abourt a ship from the Royal danish Navy.
4)At new year after H.M the Queen´s speech to the nation.
It is legal to use the Royal Anthem if follow by the National Anthem, to ceremonies or sport games without representation from the Royal Family.

The royal anthem is considered the national anthem in the presence of danish royalty. Danish: "Kong Christian" er nationalhymne i kongeligt nærvær.

nope:
Norway: Ja vi elsker (national) and kongesangen (royal)
Luxembourg: Ons Hemecht (national) and Wilhelmus (Royal - different from Dutch)
Sweden: Du gamla du fria (national) and Kungssången (royal)
I only ask because this video refers to royal anthem, which is only played in royal family presence, while it also stated the national anthem

you missed an "e" in "højen", but otherwise you got it right :)
Kong Christian is the national anthem, even if royalty is not present, but in that case, it is very rarely used.
Denmark has not only a royal anthem, AND a national anthem - we have two national anthems, of which one is Kong Christian.

jeg elsker bare kongesangen.

It's the royal anthem, strictly speaking. Yes, there is indeed another anthem, used more on occasions when the royal family is not directly involved.
