I just finished the book, it was not perfect, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Similarities to The Long Walk and Running Man are definitely there. It was a tightly wound and fast moving plot with dynamic characters. I disliked one plot twist, or at least its timing.

I love the Hunger Games trilogy, but I have to say, the audience that is shown in this interview....these young people all look the same. The intelectual wannabe look. Not all but a majority. The girls with their short hair, and glasses and the boys who look like the girls, femanine looking. Now I wear glasses myself, so I don't know why I brought that up. But the whole so-called intelectual look, i never really understood it, I respect it, but I still find it strange I guess.

I have never read a book twice. Except the Hunger Games. I was blown away, I don't usually like young adult books because - face it - most of them are stupid. But I'm not sure how THG qualifies as "young adult" since it's a book for everyone. It's a book for humanity - with themes of rebellion and survival and censorship and death. VERY good books.
