  • That is the making of a MAN!

  • yep respect for all nation

  • "If I had Canadian Soldiers, American Technology and British Officers, I would rule the world - Winston Churchil" -Winston Churchill

  • @labadee lol shows what an idiot churchill was

  • @McBad48 troll

  • @labadee And belgian support i guess! XD

  • Oh, and to the people who are saying that there must be an officer behind him on a "Dias", you clearly haven't been to a military parade before. Nobody walks infront of the Dias in a parade, even civilians. The salute was clearly directed towards the little Belgian Cadet Coporal who initiated the salute,

  • @TheBlacksmith45

The command of "eyes right" is given by a drill commander to any officer who is the rank of Army Major, Air Force Major, or Lieutenant Commander (the navy equivalent) and above. However you're totally right, this Canadian drill commander is a really nice guy to afford this kid such an honour.

Way to make us proud, whomever you are.

Kudos to the Belgian Cadet Corporal, your salute was superb! :)

  • I don't think too many people realize the signifigance of the "eyes right" command. It is usually reserved for General staff, Commanding officers, and important dignitaries.

This boy, has gotten a salute reserved for them. And he is entirely deserving of it. Only a Canadian regiment, would do such a thing for a small, thankful boy.

Canadian soldiers, among the best, and most thoughtful of men.

  • Here is a “Young Man” with the spark of his nations pride, and here is a Canadian Officer assuring that the spark will always burn.

I am 63 years old, a retired soldier, and I cannot watch this without tears streaming down my face.

This should be made “mandatory viewing” for everyone, and if they don’t “Get It”, then they need a swift kick in the butt.

  • UWWWW nice move

  • beautiful man... beautiful.

fact he got the ol' eyes right too :') I love you canada

  • Damn onions..

  • This is one of the most beautiful things I have seen in my life

  • Will the person cutting onions please step out of the room ... it's making it hard for me to watch with tears in my eyes.

  • 1:15 : There's still one guy who didn't turn his eyes to the front. o_O

  • I admire this beautiful respectful gesture of this little ''angel''.

    Love the Eyes Right!

  • NEVER GETS OLD

  • That little boy is the commander in chief of the Belgian army.

    Please don't dis-respect my country!

  • I'm from Brazil and this remembers me a history about a little buy who dreamed about being a police officer; But he had a condition and he loses his legs. Knowing about that, the pd of his city made him a police uniform right on his size and take him to "pass a day as a cop" riding in a police car and flashing lights. This kind of things make us still belive in humanity. Greetings and respect for all Canadian Troops.

  • im half Canadian and half Belgie and that was AWSOME!!!!!!

  • Stay classy, Canada.

  • @oiaughwea choked up as always seeing that video. .and bless you oaughwea. a proud Canadian

  • Im glad the little boys gesture of appreciation was resipricated by the troops, it was wonderful to watch.

  • That was a very lovely gesture of the Commander. What an honour for that little boy.

  • That actually brought a tear to my eye. :')

    Gotta love the Canadians.

  • Proud to be an American.. We go to everyone's aid.

  • @db13395 what do americans have anything to do with this video... the troops marching are canadian.

  • @iceboundmartel Cause America's the shit.

  • @iceboundmartel Unlike you and your Queen.

  • @iceboundmartel We have Queens in America but they are usually queer.

  • @db13395 yeah say that to the people in Iran and Iraq ...

  • good

  • I love the respect this little boy had for the troops, and the respect the commander had for the child. Very cute. I love my country (I am Canadian).

  • Enough to bring a tear to a glass eye.

  • As i watched the unit coming near to this boy, i jumped up and unplugged my headphone. I then proceeded to make it as loud as possible and smiled.

  • That is the cutest thing i ever seen makes me all tingly

  • that just brought a tear to my eyes!

  • Great video.!

  • Heart breaking. Why are not all children these days respectful.

  • @hareydene Because their parents are selfish pigs who think they are entitled to everything and dont think they should have to work for anything.

  • Very touching.

  • I'm not crying I'm cutting onions on my laptop.

  • @wesellsex yeah....me too, and I have an allergy also

  • The young fellow, who must be all of six years old, getting an "eyes right" from the Canadians made me with weep with pride. Unforgettable.

  • We don't recognise Canada enough here. There for us right from the get go. After Dunkirk the only full strength division in Britain was Canadian. The Battle of the Atlantic would have been a closer run thing without the RCN. At the pier head in Liverpool, my home city, they planted a long row of Maple trees.

When the Falklands war kicked off, the next day Canada, along with Australia and New Zealand, immedialtey offered help. The offer being made has always stayed with me.

    Be safe Canada.

  • Still the toughest army man for man in the world!!

  • Bela demonstração de amor a pátria

    Parabéns !

  • Welcome to Europe. And thank you for protecting us from red disease!!!

  • 내용은 모르겠지만 아이가 너무 귀엽네 ㅎㅎ

  • incredible. Aż łzy się cisną do oczu... Piękne!

  • 隊長の粋な計らいに何度でも見てしまう

  • Absolutely badass.Great video

  • canadians do great on the field!!

  • u nas to by środkowy palec pokazał albo dupe.

  • Way to live up to the stereotype guys...

you know, the one about Canadians being polite and awesome.. :D

  • Well done that young boy and well done the Canadian troops.

  • 将来、優れた良い軍人さんになりそうですね。

    この子が戦場に行くことの無い世界になりますように・・

  • Hmmm...they're Canadians? How come their faces aren't separated in the middle?

  • that's pretty much amazing :]

  • Beautiful!!!!!!

  • GJ! soldier

  • Canada.. America's hat.

  • @db13395 Hey, I absolutely love the USA. I am the first one to stick up for Americans, when my fellow Canadians are being ignorant. But you asked for it..."America...Canada's ass".

  • Well...someone went to the trouble to get him kitted out and teach him the "bug stomp." Well done.

  • uhhh...

  • Good on him! and good on them!

  • i fucking love being Polish

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this :)

  • Regardless of the circumstances, going outside fully uniformed and saluting elders in a serious manner when you're ~10 takes balls. More balls than most commentors here have, myself included.

  • God, I love this country!!! Canada ♥ ♥

  • To kanada ma wojsko?:D

  • Wonderful gesture of commander of marching unit. He could ignored this boy, but he ordered whole unit to salute him like on parade. Really nice !

  • How can you dislike this get real people

  • I love it!

  • greetings from Poland !!

  • wonderful, simply wonderful

  • When I was his age, I've always wanted to be a soldier. This change as I grow up and realized how worthless it is to die for something what does not have any meaning and it shouldn't...

I hope he will realize this as well.

  • @ALSKDJOQIWBN Ah, but if he were to die, he would die for the utmost sacrifice of mankind, a blind selfless one for the sole reason of compassion towards his countrymen... We will not forget.

  • @ALSKDJOQIWBN, speak for yourself. A soldier doesn't want to die but is willing to. To serve something greater than one's self is special. It's because of soldiers like this that you can sit here and say things like that. Next time you see a soldier thank her or she for the freedom they provide by doing their job.

  • @ALSKDJOQIWBN You are a FOOL!

  • @TheMrfreedomrequired And I forgot to mention a spineless one at that!

  • 57 heartless people, shame

  • that is a nice respectful young man!!!! his parents should be proud. he knows the meaning of respect. you are a good kid whoever you are.

  • @gloinstrong My uncle was a member of the Black Watch Regiment who was there for the Liberation of Holland and he damn well deserves RESPECT for that. Canada has never "invaded" another country for any reason - certainly not "because it thinks it can act as a saviour of the world". I would say that is the job of the Americans - and I don't mean any disrespect by that - just that their foreign policy is more closely aimed at acting as a saviour and they too should be respected for that.

  • At his age, it's mostly fun. But that's the way you begin the good way. The good way of respect for the people and tradition. Also respect for soldiers who all acted like they should.

    Greetings from Poland.

  • much respect for WW2 Canadian Troops from Poland- we fought together many times at that time

  • They should have stoped and saluted back to the boy. That would be really awesome.

  • @jumajumani the salute was returned with the order of 'Eyes Right' and the squad commander returning the salute. That is proper military etiquette according to Queens Regulations

  • @jumajumani they did salute him on the march did you not watch the video?

  • @TheMrfreedomrequired they did eyes right thets the "marching salute"

  • Bless his heart. x

  • Damn In 11th November we in Poland saw a band of vandals. They was carring Polish flag and destroy everything. You can read about it in iternet... (Sorry for my English, I'm still learning

  • @LordDemon0 co ty pieprzysz. Don't read his nonsense. Respect for the boy.

  • I never Heard about Canadian Troops. rofl . Did they win some war?

  • @FankyZe @MrPasty Canadians (along with the British and Polish) liberated Belgium in WW2. Ask the Dutch about Canadians as well, Have some respect.

  • the soilders would have probably gotten into trouble doing that, the UK now sucks thanks to the people running it, well done to all those who fought for it

  • przecież Kanada wojny na oczy nie widziała : |

  • @zawodowiec650 ale to nie znaczy ze nie pomagala

  • What the hell are they doing in Belgium?

  • @MrPasty Canadians (along with the British and Polish) liberated Belgium in WW2. Ask the Dutch about Canadians as well.

  • Too bad that the USA ducked combat in WW2 until 1941 while selling military supplies to the allies AND Germany. Ford Motors of the USA supplied most of the 5 ton trucks to the Wermacht.

This NOT a slur on the hundreds of thousands of brave Americans who fought and died in Europe and the South Pacific.

Corporate America should have been executed for treason (for aiding and comforting the enemy in time of war)

  • @PiggusVomitus Thank god for her insistance of BIG COMPANIES. I'd like to see you build a tank in your squatters tent.

  • @gloinstrong typical American we have more so we are better. Am from Scotland and we produce some of the best troops in the world. We also have the gerhka regiments who are some of the best also. Plus in Britain we have the SAS arguably the best special forces in the world. Please try switching your brain on before you spew crap on the Internet! BTW nice clip :)

  • I fucking love being Canadian

  • @CraigFarewell Yea Buddy!!

  • @CraigFarewell

I'm sure you're a credit to your nation!

  • @CraigFarewell I hate it when unimaginative people write obscenities for no good reason, so that one a)becomes embarrassed to share the same nationality with someone who would so publicly utter such vulgarity, and b) makes it so that you don't want to share or show the video because the profanity, which has nothing to do with the video, is front and center. Grow up, and just say "I love beong Canadian".

  • @CraigFarewell I fucking love Canadians! Never met one I didn't like.

  • かっこいい!!!

  • How about wwe stop the bickering! WE fought the same fight side by side and died side by side we bleed the same colour of blood,we cry the same tears! today we are still fighting side by side! lets remember those who died for our freedom.

  • A few people need to take a little more in depth history lessons. Do a little research on WWII Canadian military victories and you might be surprised. I wasn't. Canadians are tough, proud, and resilient people. Kind of like us Texans. We're friendly as hell right up until you mess with our friends.

Thank you Canada from one US citizen. Nice to have you guys at our backs.

  • @Dichodog ......Thanks Dichodog :) You got that right....damn good people we are, and very proud...apparently just like a Texan!! CHEERS..... :)

  • @Dichodog A southern that finally understands. No sir, Thank you.

  • @Dichodog no my friend, thank you.

    From one Canadian citizen.

  • @Dichodog Thank you Dichodog from your fried up North

  • @Dichodog We will always be tough. Thank you Dichodog. Long live (N) America!

  • Us army.. what a joke ! you could not even pass the Canadian basic training.

  • @gloinstrong You're making Americans, like myself, look bad. Please stop making idiotic comments and go read a history book.

  • This is very, very cute :) They even have him an eyes right!

  • ...what you are about to say. Do some research, read a book, expand your knowledge. You have sullied a completely innocent clip of a young child proud and excited to see serving members of the armed forces. Not to mention the fact you have insulted and dishonoured those who serve and have served for their country and others. Shame on you

  • ...forces entered WW2 in December 1941, two years after operations had actually begun. The US were not the only forces operating in Vietnam, Korea, the Cold War, Gulf 1, Gulf 2, Libya, Kosovo, Bosnia, Somalia, nor are you the only forces serving in Afghanistan. There will never be a conflict where the US will have 97% involvement...have you heard of NATO, the UN and the G20?! The next time you wish to spout out uneducated, ill-informed, arrogant and ignorant nonsense please stop and consider wh

  • @gloinstrong I take serious offence to your comments. As someone who comes from a family where all the men and some of the women have served or do serve in the armed forces and who is also due to be married to someone in the armed forces I actually know that your statement is completely incorrect. The American military is in no way as sophisticated or as skilled as some other nations forces in certain areas and I know that for a fact. At this point I would like to remind you that the American f

For those who don't know military protocol, the little boy is receiving the highest possible respect from marching soldiers.

  • @enterprise1954 what other forms of respect can you receive from marching soldiers? salute?

  • Comment removed

  • I know lifelong soldiers that wouldn't salute as well as this little "BIG" guy has done. So much respect, and well deserved "Eyes right". Both men know the value of a salute.

  • Haha, oh man, those clothes

  • @mrktanarchist i agree with you, but there is nothing wrong with thanking those who have already given their lives for protecting you.
