@ErinTheLilCrazy1 That's the complety trust, am pianist since i had 4 years now am 16 and all the pieces that i've learned, was half ear and the rest reading some details with the sheet.! Musician is not the person that have been all his/her life studying music, i think that the really musician is the person that put all what he or she got for make a song.. to say what he/she feels with her/his hands!

@devilgabo yes but sheet music and music theory can help with this; i plan to use all the tools at my disposal to make the best music i can...to me what you're saying is i'll build this house without using hammers...which is possible but it will take much longer and there are many obstacles you create for yourself. Your piano is a tool to use to make beautiful music just like music theory (reading sheet music) is another tool to help you get better at playing wonderful music.

Tutorial? How about asking for the sheets and learning how to actually play it, christ. The sheets can ACTUALLY be found on the internet. Google it.

some people can't read sheet music and don't have the means to learn. Learning by ear and watching is the best way to learn, that way you can memorize it easier. It's called the "Suzuki method".. It's the way I learn.

A lot of great pianists can not read music and have learned by ear.

@ErinTheLilCrazy1 that is true but i find it better to be able to do BOTH; some people (like one of my friends) say its impossible you're either good at one or the other...but no offence to my friend thats just being lazy you can get good at both as i'm doing right now i learn a lot by sheet music but i sit at my piano and just mess around and try to compose stuff by ear and i find i hear other songs and figure parts out to improve my ear...so i believe its good to be able to do both..no offence

@ErinTheLilCrazy1 i play by ear too..but i must admit,,,its impossible for me to play Yiruma by ear...his chords are sometimes complex.....other pianists that i listen to ,,i can reproduce after a good listen,,,for Yiruma i cant,,,and i need tutorials to learn his music

i totally understand what your saying, but its not so much that the chords are complex, there is just way too many chord changes to keep track of in most his music. I'd say the best way to learn his music would be to use every way possible, as in read the score, watch tutorials, listen and learn it by ear.
