Particularly in the late 1950s and 1960s, WML's production staff liked to find pretty young females who did the sort of work the audience then associated with men. So in its own subtle way, WML helped lead the way for modern career women.
Martin Gabel, Hedy Lamarr, Pat Boone on one stage. The star power WML attracted still amazes. Seeing Hedy Lamarr on WML live compensates, sort of, for WML's never booking Vivien Leigh.

There is clearly a very different taste in clothes for each decade.
I'm quite surprised at the unnaturally stiff pointiness of certain physical attributes...

Must respectfully disagree with poster 78rpmscott.
Although the "bombshell" was attractive, Ms. Lamarr was still SO beautiful, she had no reason to be jealous. Unless it had to do with breast size!!
Ms. Lamarr was one of the world's greatest beauties.

For a moment, I thought Bennet was going to ask- "Are you now, or have you ever been alive".

@hankaaron1961 I know he was great for that

you could tell Hedy was a bit jealous of this bombshell, I think
78rpmscott 2 years ago
Perhaps, but I'm more inclined to think that Hedy Lamarr met very few women whom she was jealous of.
