@quantum460 Actually the historically the persian king in this movie was Xerxes. The name they used for him in this was another name he was known by. Watch the movie "One Night with the King" which is also the story of Esther, but he's known by Xerxes. That movie is on Youtube and has the man who played Gimli in "Lord of the Rings" as Mordecai.
Awesome... my kids use to watch theses stories when they were little... now my 5 grand children watch them... they love them as much as their parents did and still do.
@julianerosario Same here. Rgandy123 doesn't know how grateful I am that they posted these. Not only childhood memories, but good way to tell Biblical stories to children.
Doesn't this remind you of Superbook? Where can you get this series on DVD. I want to get this for my twin boys.

I used to watch these as a child, with my sisters and cousins. Such great memories; the introduction is still epic. Thank you.

Read the story of Esther on Chick.com by typing "Miss Universe" on the search box and by clicking the name of the title. God bless you all.

Mordecai was pretty gutsy - and true to his beliefs. And Esther was clever and brave.
Definitely one of my favorite stories.
