Swallow properly and for your bangs... When you blow dry them brush them roll them kinda down.. Then straighten them down and when they are still hot from the iron, hold them on your for-head. It seems weird but i have really thick hair and thats what i used to do when i had front bangs... or just pin them back...

Blow dry down-wards. :) It helps the natural oils get to the end of your hair, making it healthier, and when you blow dry straight to your roots it can really fry your hair, AND make it look all squirrely when you get done... Hope I helped. ^_^

You could try going back to the hair salon and asking for the stylist and then asking her what products she used and how she did them... thats what i did when my hair went wacko. I ALWAYS have the hairdresser explain to me how shes styling it and what the products shes using does to my hair and i guess step by step instructions
