i miss manila's slums. instead of looking towards the lord, we need to empower people to look towards themselves. they need to be empowered. as the african proverb says, "when you pray, be sure to move your feet."
This is my community and reality but not everything is hopeless. We, who serve the poor will be the proponents for positive change. God bless the volunteers. God help us.
