Regardless of what they copied...it looks good...these guys make me laugh talkin about the cars they like because quality is big on their list...pfffft....contradiction in terms! I work for one of the "Big 4" car rental companies and comanage a fleet of up to 800 vehicles...the most reliable by far...Hyundai. Some of the bigger establised worldwide brands could only wish to have the same level of reliability, and rental cars are a good measure for reliability...

Hyundai will be like Volvo is to safety, but with MPG. In 10 years Hyundai will be the upmarket buyer's car of choice for fuel economy, value, and fit and finish, while still not sacrificing reliability.

For all you haters- I have a "05 Sonota that I bought off the showroom floor in feb of 05. It now has about 205,000 mi. I never do reg maint. and the car still runs great. I took it across the country when it had 126k mi with no problems and I'd leave tomorrow to do it again if I could and I'd totally trust my car. The first prob I had was when my timing belt broke at 175k mi. I then swapped the engine with one that had 36k. and I know it'll be good for another five years.

in korea, it already came out for $95,000 above. It might come out to US by end of 2009 for around 45-55k USD. They launched a top-notch dealer network that is unmatched in customer service to promote the exclusivity of their brand. That is what they did to create prestige and value.
