Because this is about love and losing the loved ones? real life, real lessons.... this was made back when kids didn't have to be supervised 24/7, they roamed freely in their spare time. Sure the girl has a family, it's just not a part of the story.

Songs and poetry are usually hard to translate - you can almost do whatever you want if you want to make it rhyme. My rhyming abilities are close to non-existent :) so most of the time I just try to convey meaning. The version you posted is also good. Thanks for sharing :)

I guess this film is from the time when there were no (or at least hardly any) computers that could reduce the numbers of drawings needed. In that case they would have to make many thouthands of drawings for these ten minutes - and imagine a lot about how each would sync, I guess. Wow!
