ok i found out to freelook for the ps3 u have to press down from your key pad next to your left analog stick and then hold the down button and look left and right by the right analog stick and spot enemy ground troops,tanks,jeeps,helis,or jets by pressing select but u have to hold the down button ok thats just for the people who dont know this would have helped me yesterday :)

im a ps3 player and the advantage for riding a jet on pc is that u can look on the side of your jet for ps3 u cant do that only thing pc has that ps3 doesnt have about jets but i still prefer ps3 is there a way u cAN DO it on ps3?

@NGUpremier Oh, and rebinding right and left mouse to Yaw instead of Roll helps with aiming. It's just like aiming any other gun at that point.

@NGUpremier It really depends how you use the tools available with keyboard and mouse. Mouse is superior for precision aiming compared to joystick, but inferior for general flight movement. The pilot in this video uses arrow keys for flight movement (much like a joystick), but switches that hand to a mouse for vehicle and infantry killing (what his video). I own a quality joystick which I use on PC, and even I switch to mouse for the precision because it's simply easier to get accurate shots.

Sigh... Good old console noobs thinking its easier on PC. It's fucking impossible to use a mouse, you have to lift in up and put it back because you literally run out of mouse pad.

Not to mention its impossible to keep proper angles with a sensitive mouse. Think twice, you console player have a joystick, we have a keyboard and pretty much a half broken joystick. It's harder on PC,

@NGUpremier mouse is really good once you learn it, i turn/fly and pitch with mouse alone, you just gotta learn the trick, just like riding a bicicle for the first time...

anyways, im basicly raised with battlefield planes for 10 years and i have only used mouse, but i really cant get why ppl have troubles with it 0.o i was like 12y old the first time i tried (bf1942) and i got really good after just 2-3 tries in about 1 hour

Battlefield 3 needs a "map pack" for just jet based maps. So that there can be more than 4 jets in the air at once. kind of like in battlefield 1943 with air superiority.

problem with the other team is nobody used the engies AA kit because you wont get many points only looking for air targets. consequently these guys completely dominate because only the 2 guys on the mobile and stationary AA are even shooting at them.

3 engies with iglas wouldve gotten at least a hit.

@fludblud nope, i have gotten killed/disabled by stinger/igla only a few times of my 200+ hours of flying, its not even a treath tbh

@burre01 thats because stingers/iglas need to be used in teams of two, one guy fires to make the jet launch flares and the other fires to kill it when the flares are recharging, its quite easy when done properly.

thing is, fucking Dice/EA couldnt put something so simple as squad VOIP into BF3 which makes it impossible to coordinate with randoms so jets now dominate the shit out of everything.

For those of you who want to see him go up against other skilled pilots, I'd advise against it, it would literally be game-plays of him and the opposing player doing loop after loop until one managed to get a decent angle. It isn't entertaining at all, believe me. At least with these videos we get to see the air-to-ground action often.

In fact...I'm just gonna say it. Personally, I think you use the server browser to look for games with low level players so that you have a better chance of not getting shot down. The game has been out for MONTHS. This doesn't happen on accident...constantly. Period.
