  • People don't realize the socioeconomic realities that go into what we are seeing in this video. Often there is to little staff and money. The family simply can't afford the cost.....and people need their child to care for them when they become the "Olds" and if a child is disabled that will not happen. There are variables that go into this.

  • Poor little kid...does Bulgaria allow people from other countries to adopt their children?

  • Why is everyone complaining about how she didnt do this and that? Give thanks to her for helping out as much as she could. Seriously this video was sad enough and to be reading the rude comments people are saying about the woman who is helping is just shameful. I will pray for the children in the orphanage so Allah can protect them from any harm and also put mercy in the hearts of families to be able to adopt a child and put them in a warm welcoming home.

  • I understand the reasoning too leave the child alone, due, to her weakened state of health. Glad too hear the bugs are gone. Forgive my quick passion and comment, your mercy for these children, bring honor on your soul. keep your loving heart open, and bless you for reaching out in a world that many would run from, one child at a time!

  • Why? Stand there and make the statement, that the child is covered in ants, and do nothing but stroke her face....Where is the concern for the child's welfare...by removing her from the ant filled crib.....Love her dearly, by removing the ant filled sheets, pj's, cleaning the child gently and cleaning the bleeding wounds!...

  • @RSWells100 I picked off as many ants as I could find. We also addressed her wounds. The orphanage nurses wouldn't allow us to pick her up because her neck and head were too fragile. I insisted on spraying the place for bugs, but they wouldn't let me do that either. Fortunately we got one of our staff members in there to help nurture the children. The bugs are gone now.

  • SO TEARFUL...SO SAD THAT BABY HAS PASSED ON TO BE WITH GOD & THE ANGELS OF HEAVEN! ALL YOUR PAIN & SUFFERING WILL FINALLY BE @ PEACE, SWEETHEART. MAY THE SOUL OF "BOSHIDARA" REST IN PEACE. AND LET HER PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HER, AMEN.

  • How is the little girl now? I hope she is doing better or is in peace being with Jesus and God. It is not God's fault this happened. I agree with above, God has given us humans chances and choices to make and this is because of cruel, inhumane and ignorant people, not God. I am sure He will get her when the time comes if not already! Suffering is a way God comes to us and He will if we suffer for His sake. She is a brave and strong girl!

  • @eguth2008 Boshidara passed away 2 years ago in June. The bugs are gone now and we have a staff member there helping to nurture the little ones. We are also working on creating a hospital unit at this orphanage to help save other babies just like her. Boshidara is a hero!

  • sorry i have to ask

why when you said there are ants in her pj's did you then cover her back up? why did you say you were there to give her all the love you could 'for a few minutes' that really upset me what stopped you picking her up and holding her bathing her or just taking her to the nearest dahm hospital ?

was she even given pain medication there?

  • @patsymccoss I did pick the ants out. I wish I didn't say "for a few minutes" too b/c really we were there w/ her for quite a while. That's just want came out of my mouth when they were filming me. She was too fragile to move & besides, the orphanage staff wouldn't allow it. They see this kind of thing all the time. They are used to it. Fortunately, we are working to create a hospital unit at this orphanage so that this kind of thing never happens again. We really are doing something about it.

  • precious Boshidara. Rest in peace cherub xo

  • I wish more people were aware of these conditions. I'm only just discovering how bad these little ones have it. So sad. Maybe if the word was spread more people would adopt them and look after them, or atleast put them into a proper institution in a developed country where they can be looked after :(

  • @hmala exactly! would u believe they purposefully starve these children & are "christian"? They all have cognitive dissonance! Makes me so sick...

You sound like a beautiful person who sees through all this shit. At least there are some people out there who are decent, unlike the rest who are to stupid to see through this crap.

Most of these children are not even babies(10+yr olds),yet their development is stunted due to starvation & therefore they don't grow. Fat psycho nurses run the place

  • @katchkittie exactly. MIA.

  • we watched the show on foxtell we all cried, what is this government doing to let these children suffer like they do?

  • @tara6692 The government does very little. They don't really care. These children are an expense to them--a nuisance.

  • i would love to adopt that baby if i was old enough

  • I just want to pick her up and run away with her :(

  • @TheGogobooty the exact same thought ran through my mind.

  • Too bad god ignored her suffering and couldn't provide a miracle for her - heartless monster this god is. Or perhaps he doesn't exist which I suspect is the case. If you were god would you have allowed for even one second for this innocent child to suffer instead of living for years in this agony? So people stop it with the god crap he obviously doesn't care.

  • @hmala I am the girl in the video. Believe me, there have been many times when I just can't make sense of all this. It wasn't God's fault that she was treated this way.It wasn't God who did this, but ignorant people.God allows people to make their choices. He'll even let us ruin our own lives.Life is not just about happiness, but lots of suffering.Perhaps we learn r greatest lessons in suffering. B/c of Boshidara, many other babies are being saved.Perhaps THAT was God's bigger plan. She's a hero!

  • @1heartbg And perhaps god does not exist. The fact that this all powerful supernatural guy allows for suffering and not protecting these little innocent children is evidence for me. To allow one little baby to suffer like this just to teach people a "lesson" is just sick and disgusting. There is suffering that people never find out about either. What about Haiti, the tsunami, the Holocaust, etc etc? If he allows for such evil and doesn't prevent it then he is evil. Don't worry he doesn't exist.

  • @1heartbg Did you find out why the people there did not follow up w/ her care after you got her the operations/shunt things? If I were you I'd be furious... to put this kind of work in... and to see others let it go out the window. this poor little baby suffers, laying in her crib all day and night, unable to speak of the pain ravaging her little body. in my opinion it isn't fair to keep her alive in this condition. honestly... she deserves to be at peace.

  • I am so upset that this precious little soul was kept in these conditions, and the only person who cares about her well being is someone who is visiting from afar... if only the people who work here cared so much!! MAYBE SHE WOULD HAVE HAD A CHANCE. FUCKING EVIL PEOPLE. How can they do this?? how can they just let them wither away? there shouldn't be orphanages there if this is their only option of living. I am so sad and heartbroken, I can't watch anymore videos. 1heartbg u r a hero.

  • @hmala Honestly, I was a christian my whole life... But in the last few months I have had some seriously huge eye opening truths realised...

Iam now not a Christian & never in my life will be again...

Your comment was well said & I couldn't agree more, I feel so much more free now, so much happier to finally realise it's all a huge lie...

  • @hmala Its humans that do this not God! he always gets blamed for the things humans do!

  • This is sooooo sad. im actually in tears. God bless this little soul!

  • great repsonse! you do great work and it's sad to me what people can say out of ignorance. keep up what you do- we believe in you

  • @physicaledge1219 Thank you, I appreciate that very much.

  • I find this video so sad and also disturbing. When I say disturbing I mean YOU could have taken her out of there!!!!!! You're standing over this precious baby saying this and that. Why didn't you take her out of that crib and give the baby at least a bath and clean clothes (you were picking ants of what you called 'your baby')? Poor baby and SHAME ON YOU...YOU MAKE ME SICK.

  • @gaj18087 Your comments are grossly naive. Boshidara's head was bleeding, she had recently had a new shunt replacement in her brain, her body was very frail. Holding her in this condition is nearly impossible due to her oversized, heavy head, & weak neck. U have no idea what I did before & after we shot this footage. U cannot imagine my panic when I 1st saw her like this after all I had done for her as a newborn. Please contain yourself from making such caustic, terrible, & ignorant remarks.

  • @1heartbg God bless you. If you can provide any advice on a good adoption agency in bulgaria or any advice on gettting a healthy baby I would be appreciative. I would also be open to donating my time overseas to help. thank you.

  • @cprmktg You can contact me at deborah.gardner@oneheart-bg (dot) org if you are interested in information about adopting. Lots of possibilities. Thank you for caring!

  • @1heartbg I personally held children with hydrocephaly, who had huge head sizes........... when they are that little it is always possible to hold and rock them.

  • @malcolmsnake Not this child. She was too frail. Seemed like her little neck and body might literally break. Her shunt sight was bleeding and the nurses didn't want me to take her from her crib anyway. I did get to hold her after the first surgery we provided for her when she was a newborn though. She was much stronger then.

  • @1heartbg I'm shocked that the nurses did not keep the ants off of her!! That is so disturbing. I also have seen so many hydro kids in orphanages, and not one of them has the head of their bed elevated. This baby breaks my heart. Every child deserves to be held and rocked, they could have put her on a pillow to hold her for heaven's sake. I'm glad you were there for her, but the nursing staff needs a lot of work.

  • you should put some baby bug reppelant on her skin and in her bed

  • Good news--one of the viewers of this video of Boshidara decided to sponsor Boshidara's orphanage for one year! So grateful for this help! One Heart Bulgaria will now be able to provide, diapers, bedding, food, medicines, hygiene supplies and hopefully some grandmothers to nurture the children. Also, the bugs are gone now!

  • so sad

  • oh sweet baby. May God truely bless you for what you are doing for these children! I sometimes feel i'd like to do the same thing, but I could not contain my emotions. If i was in your shoes i would have been weeping umcontrolably. Your gentleness and soft ways was what she needed so badly. Your truley were the hands of Jesus for her!

  • @mvmof2 Thank you for your sweet support. I was practically frantic when I first saw the ants. I wept and wept. When I could finally compose myself, we decided to shoot this video so that the situation could be exposed to the world. Sweet Boshidara is a hero. Because of her story, changes are being made and people are helping.

  • god loves u sweet little girl

  • Why don't you just take the child and RUN! Take the abandoned ill child, and take her to other country, and save her life! I don't usually ever encourage to break the law,but there just comes the point when obeying some wrongful law, means somebody's injust death, and it's not right. I think there comes a line, when obeying wrongful law is a crime against humanity!

  • @1974Coconut I wish I could have done just that, but there would be no way to take her out of the country without a passport. I would have been arrested and all the other orphans and orphanages we help would have suffered because...well...I am the president of One Heart Bulgaria. These tragedies are hard to cope with. Whenever things like this happen, it inspires new program developments on behalf of the orphans. They will not suffer in vain!

  • OMG that was so sad. she is im no pain nor blind now in heaven. GOD BLESS you lil angel

  • stupid government too useless to do anything bout these children..i bet if it were their kids it would be a different story....the world needs to stand up and make people aware of whats going on...there must be something we can do...this is absolutely heart wrenching its so hard to watch and believe that this is actually happening on our earth...Someone is responsible for this....

  • Absolutely soul crushing. I feel so helpless

  • Poor sweetie.. i would want to take everyone home with me.

  • Beautiful Boshidara has inspired me to help these children as much as possible. Poor little angel... wish I could've helped her. She didn't deserve the life she got.

  • @crf1967 I agree that she didn't deserve the life she got, as you said. Hundreds of orphans are getting the help they need now because this situation was exposed. This makes Boshidara a hero!!! Her life was not lived in vain.

  • hippimummy, thank you. I did try. Bless her heart!

  • It beggars belief that this sort of thing happens in this day and age. You were a good friend to that baby and i, with you, am glad she has gone to a better place where she is happy, healthy and pain free xXx

  • gypsymarika, that was an awful thing to say. Please read my comments on here if you really are concerned about little Boshidara.

  • that was very painful to watch.

  • Just received word today from our director in Bulgaria that Boshidara has passed. I am happy for her! Finally she can rest from the awful life she endured. She's now back safe in God's arms to be loved like she should have been all along.

  • @1heartbg aww poor her i wish i could've done something to help i cried when i watched this video most of us are blessed and sometimes you dont even see it

  • @1heartbg continue to rest in peace angel

  • i make dua- prayer that if she is not cared for then let death come to her i know it sounds mean.whilst our kids are safe and sound over in the care homes they can't spare 2 mins to clean that poor kids pants. they need people with a good heart and love for the children to work in orphanages.

  • How very sad that is...

  • Comment removed

  • datladyluva, you are too harsh. Please read my previous comments on here if you really want to know what went on with Boshidara & all we have done. Back when we saved her life her orphanage didn't have an ant problem. Currently, the director at this orphanage is very stubborn & won't accept my offer to pay for pest control or to hire more staff to help the babies. This video is only 3:05 min. long. You have no idea how much time I spent cleaning off the ants before/after we shot the video!

  • I dont want to sound mean She is in alot of pain she needs to be put to sleep sadly

  • how horrible! it's hard to believe stuff like this goes on. I don't mean to sound insensitive, but if the orphanage had no plans to take proper care of her, why prolong her agony with the surguries?

  • We wanted to give her a chance! We didn't realize at the time how poor the post-operative care would be at the orphanages. Since then, we have become more determined to help regulate their recovery treatment. We (One Heart Bulgaria) just sent 3 influential Bulgarian neurosurgeons to the world conference for neurology in Boston for special training in this area. We hope it makes a difference.

  • I hope so. and it would be great to have better post op care in the orphanage. i understand they may be seriously understaffed and that may be the problem but hopefully they can aquire more volunteers and employees to at least keep the place and the kids clean. It's just so heartbreaking to see her stare off in the distance, totally withdrawn. poor baby

  • This video broke my heart!

  • that is terrible! Why doesn't that woman pick up the baby and get rid of the ants??

  • She was too fragile to pick up and I did work to remove the ants. I offered to pay for pest control services, but the orphanage director refused saying it was useless. You could not imagine my frustration. It haunts me still. I pray for her to pass into Jesus' arms as soon as possible. It broke my heart!

  • That is just heartbreaking :'(
