I'm from Louisiana and I am so Damn glad that the first Movie with a black disney princess is stories in New Orleans Baby! The music is just amazing in this movie, and I personally love the fact that our culture is being shared threw a Disney movie which will be a timeless classic I just knw it. Thank you Disney=)

She started the movie as a boring stick-in-the-mud devoted to getting the restaurant her father always talked about, and ended the movie as a boring stick-in-the-mud with the restaurant her father always wanted. The romance was rushed, even for a Disney movie. And Ray never fully explained about Evangeline; was she a sweetheart that died or did he really think the star was a distant firefly?

@Kuwasgirl: He says "Zydeco". It is a type of music that is found mostly in New Orleans and sometimes in Texas. It is mostly sung by Creole people. They play instruments like the accordion like you see Ray playing, the washboard like cousin Randy is playing. Look it up! It's good music...most don't understand what they say because they speak pretty fast sometimes and switch from French to English to Creole and just for the fun of it...throw in a little bit of French Creole. Hope that helps!
