naomi couldnt have told big boss all that info coz he was in a coma at the time. such bullshit writing. was kojima high when he wrote the script for this game? also, how was dr.madnar still alive when its made pretty clear in metal gear 2 that he died? and even more shockingly when snake hears that dr.madnar is perfectly fine he has nothing to say about it? and how did EVA know sunnys location prior to the events of mgs4? my god the flaws in this game are just ridiculous.

It's never once stated in MG2 that Madnar died, it's not even really fully implied. The Naomi thing I'm unsure of, but there's nothing saying that he couldn't hear people in his nano machine induced coma. How you can claim 4 is poorly written but claim 2 isn't is also beyond me. @TheDocGoblin EVA was a patriot, and not for long. When sunny was captured by the patriots they were completely formless and worked through AI only. The fact Snake doesnt remark on madnar at all is a bit silly but not a big flaw. The biggest problem with snake in 4 is that he is a shadow of the character he is in 1 and 2. Remember the inspirational speeches he gave. None of that in 4 apart from "you can still be the light that shines through the darkness" crap to raiden.
@randomusername27 Because Snake is SUPPOSED to be a shadow of himself, he's dying. Watch his evolution from his final speech in MG2: Solid Snake, through MGS1, MGS2 and MGS4. Snake in MG2:SS is a LOT more peppy and positive than he is in MGS1, does that make MGS1 less of a game?

@randomusername27 Arsenal Gear's storyline in MGS2 is stellar, it's the whole big shell scenario that isn't. Bosses like Fatman, characters like EE who have NO REAL point in the game and who don't progress the plot at all etc.
Also I think you'll find he put as much soul into Metal Gear 2, Peace Walker and MGS3 as he did into the others. I got the message behind Sons of Liberty, it doesn't detract from the massive flaws that game has.

At least in 2 kojima used him to portray identity in some way. mgs1-3 all had so much more depth. Raidens scene with the president. Mei Lings inclusion in 4 is completely forgettable as well as the Meryl/Johnny relationship. Turning an easter egg character into a main character?!

Then he gives a big inspirational speech in typical snake fashion about life being more than just passing on you genes, through music, movies etc etc. In 4, he is just getting on with the job. Sure he is dying, but I thought Snake was always the strong minded type no matter what. He just doesnt seem to care about passing anything on in himself anymore. Otacon speaks to the players more.
@randomusername27 But that was what was what I liked about Snake in 4. His body had rapidly aged, he was ill and he had lost his belief in freedom. He was plagued by nightmares of his past and he had succumbed to the belief his life was ending. Otacon knew this and that's why he steps up in 4, to ensure Sunny is protected from the reality of Snake's illness.

@randomusername27 Apparently not, it was when JD was destroyed that he could finally find Zero. According to the database/metal gear wiki Naomi left Big Boss a video explaining everything. Maybe I've misread the signs though because I'm sure he was supposed to wake up after all the AIs went down myself.

I am a great fan of the Metal Gear Series but some parts are not clear- Kojima is developing Metal Gear Rising it supposedly fills the gap about Raiden's transformation but what about Big Boss- the Les Infants Terribles how exactly did that happen and did Big Boss have a mission of his own in the backdrop of MGS4 I mean Major Zero must have had his security Big Boss could not just go in and take Major Zero- I think I definitely see another two metal gear games before the saga is fully complete!

@nickiusick The old Foxdie in Snake's body from MGS1 is starting to mutate and will soon turn him into a biological weapon, meaning it'll just start attacking everyone. The only way to get rid of it is to die, which is why Snake tries to kill himself. But then Big Boss tells him that the new Foxdie (put into him by Drebin in Act 1) that was designed to kill Ocelot/Eva/Big Boss has erased over the old one, meaning it is no longer a threat. And Snake will die before the new one becomes a threat.
Can somebody explain to me why Solid/Old Snake is at The Boss' grave? I never understood that. Also, can somebody explain to me why a war traitor would get a soldiers grave in the US?
@xSayHiToTheBadGuyx If you played MGS1 and heard what he said about gray fox, then its simple he still respects big boss and even though he killed him it wasn't anything personal like hate is was just a mission that he had to follow. For the gave part, i think its just a memorial for people/hero's that they lost on mission/wars, although i don't know why a traitor would be buried on their home country but remember is a game. Well that's what i think at least i don't know about other people.

The part at 1:03 where he said "The original members.... para medic......sigint.......EVA.........ocolot.......they've all passed on" knowing that just brings a tear to my eye.
At first when I saw Big Boss' voice actor in the credits I was upset but then I heard Richard Doyle's voice and it suits him perfectly. Besides the emotional impact would be removed if it was just David Hayter talking to himself.
in mgs1 and 2 you never knew about zero you only knew about big boss...so snake and liqued and idk about solidous were made from big bosses dna to be super soldiers, and you kill liqued in mgs1 but i think in mgs2 you kill a liqued fake or him being saved from you killing him but idk, in mgs3 i didnt really know the story line but i think you just fought a new group of people or something, but yea mgs4 gets deeper in the story line and i wished i played it before mgs rising comes out

Reach was a letdown. They went from having to fucking do something significant to unlock armour and shit which was fun that is why i like halo 3 moar. But noooo...Reach had to make it easier for the fucking 8 year olds that play it. My other point being. That franchise has been destroyed by younger people.

And if your a true fan you dont care whose playing it, you just care about it being a kick ass game but cmon this is a MGS video, lets not drag halo into this. I am a great fan of the Metal Gear Series but some parts are not clear- Kojima is developing Metal Gear Rising it supposedly fills the gap about Raiden's transformation but what about Big Boss- the Les Infants Terribles how exactly did that happen and did Big Boss have a mission of his own in the backdrop of MGS4 I mean Major Zero must have had his security Big Boss could not just go in and take Major Zero- I think I definitely see another two metal gear games before the saga is fully complete!

@nickiusick The old Foxdie in Snake's body from MGS1 is starting to mutate and will soon turn him into a biological weapon, meaning it'll just start attacking everyone. The only way to get rid of it is to die, which is why Snake tries to kill himself. But then Big Boss tells him that the new Foxdie (put into him by Drebin in Act 1) that was designed to kill Ocelot/Eva/Big Boss has erased over the old one, meaning it is no longer a threat. And Snake will die before the new one becomes a threat.

@xSayHiToTheBadGuyx If you played MGS1 and heard what he said about gray fox, then its simple he still respects big boss and even though he killed him it wasn't anything personal like hate is was just a mission that he had to follow. For the gave part, i think its just a memorial for people/hero's that they lost on mission/wars, although i don't know why a traitor would be buried on their home country but remember is a game. Well that's what i think at least i don't know about other people.

As you can see the one with the white flowers is the grave of The Boss, the one that Solid Snake is saluting is Big Boss grave. Solid Snake is just there to pay his respects for Big Boss not The Boss.

How could you say that? Japanese voice acting is pretty good, some of my favorite seiyuus (Japanese voice actors and actresses) are in Metal Gear, Akio Otsuka, Chikao Otsuka, Banjo Ginga, Kikuko Inoue, etc.

At first when I saw Big Boss' voice actor in the credits I was upset but then I heard Richard Doyle's voice and it suits him perfectly. Besides the emotional impact would be removed if it was just David Hayter talking to himself.

in mgs1 and 2 you never knew about zero you only knew about big boss...so snake and liqued and idk about solidous were made from big bosses dna to be super soldiers, and you kill liqued in mgs1 but i think in mgs2 you kill a liqued fake or him being saved from you killing him but idk, in mgs3 i didnt really know the story line but i think you just fought a new group of people or something, but yea mgs4 gets deeper in the story line and i wished i played it before mgs rising comes out
