Ive always wted to see a shattered planet.....yet the only wormhole ivebeen through meand my friend where abushed by stratigic cruisers when we entered it.Never got to see.
Oh that music was from Mass Effect!! It was familiar but I couldnt place it right away. WTF is a storm planet lol. All planets with an atmosphere have to have wind/storms. Oh well, super awesome video primer for planetary interaction.
It would be funny to make a slideshow and be like...Terrestial Planet before PI -> Terrestial Planet after PI and then cut to the barren/shattered one lol. And just go down the list and do that for all of them.
You have a nice idea, perhaps I'll try making such a vid next time!
AND to answer your question:
Compared to a gas world, the atmosphere of a storm world is usually considerably shallower, and generally composed primarily of more complex chemicals, while the majority of the planet's mass is a rocky terrestrial ball. Their name is derived from the continent-scale electrical storms that invariably flash through their upper atmospheres.
I love having my pos in wormhole space on a moon right next to a temperate planet... so beautiful
