@brama1969 Sea urchins often live in environments known as urchin barrens in which there is nothing to hide behind or hang around on. They are created when otters are removed from the ecosystem (oil spil, fur trade, etc) and occurs after the urchins destroy all the kelp forests. It's not uncommon for them to exist in this environment... I can't speak to the food choice, but dude. It's a sea urchin. :P All it needs is a sea floor, and they can go for years without eating anyway.
