No, before the Spirit Train, you use Alfonso's Train, which pretty much met the same fate you said above, except the tracks vanished instead a curve missed.

Actually, Toon Link is one of my favourite versions of Link... plus Wind Waker is one of my Favourite Zelda Games. I like Wind Waker a bit more than Ocarina of Time also.
