  • I really appreciate you uploading this video. This is the only video I have found that makes it clear and fun for self learners. Thank you so much! You really have helped lots of people.

  • this video sucks

  • I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT HOLE YOU GO THROUGH TO THE BACK!!!!

  • I love this series!!! Just learning how to knit and having fun doing it. Thanks for posting these video tutorials.

  • Thanks this was really easy! I did a few lines of the knit stitch and a few lines of the purl stitch and it looks exactly the same apart from one odd thin bit in between the knit and the purl

  • THANK YOU so much I looked at so many purl stitch videos and i tried your video and I got it. thank you again

  • When you knit a purl stitch row the yarn is then in the back. How would I knit another purl stitch row right after?

  • @26Jvegas I was wondering that, too. I purled one row okay, but the next row ended up looking like a big Celtic knot. :)

  • @26Jvegas I figured out where I went wrong, so maybe it'll help you (I don't know). When you switch the right needle from front to back after you've wrapped the yarn around it, make sure the needle only goes through the new loop you've made but not the old one that was already on the left needle. Use the new loop on the right needle to pull the old loop off of the left one.

  • @ohevshalomel Thanks for the tip, I'll try that and see what happens! I also watched another video which showed how to just move the yarn string to the front. Perhaps that's what she does...

  • Thatss so simpleee thxx .

  • Thx yur so good at that

  • thnx easy to follow!xx

  • Very simple!

  • Cool but not purl it is a single stitch but other than that good vid ;)

  • thank you!

  • Bieeen! Ya sé tejer :)

  • This was so easy to understand! Thanks!

  • this video is awesome! i was able to teach myself to knit thanks to you!!! one scarf down, now about to tackle a blanket. thank you!!!!!!

  • Youre great! you teach these steps very well making it easier for a beginner to do. Ive seen many videos and none explain as good as you do. Thanks for the videos!

  • I've been knitting for about a year now, and I love watching begening videos like these :) I wish I had this when I started, you are so good at explaining it! P.s Guys knitting?! I've only seen it on the internet...it's so rare!

  • This video really helped me understand the purl stitch, thank you @CitalL86 <3 I've subscribed to your videos.

  • Thank you! I couldn't remember if the yarn went around front or back to do the purl stitch. I keep coming up with two stitches instead of one when I try a purl! But I'll give it another shot! :)

  • My purl stitch looks like shit compared to my knit stitch. The ends are all loose with big circles in it. WHERE DID I GO WRONG? AHHHHH

  • She looks like Santana from Glee

  • when I get to the end...I have a HUGE stitch left over -(

  • Great video. Thank you

  • @Mymarcosjose Basically you do the steps backwards, and it gives you the same result. It's just an alternative to try if you find the knit-stitch method difficult. :)

  • Thank you so much! This was a lot less confusing than learning this stitch from a book.

  • So what is the difference between knit stitching and purl stitching? The look the same to me...keep in mind that this is the first time I see a video for knitting. It's like learning a language I have never heard of and I'm from out of space.

  • ugh im having trouble wrapping =/

  • Nice

  • u go to fast ms

  • I'm really having trouble taking the first stitch off.....grrrrr. I'm fine once I get past the first stitch but I am getting frustrated!!!

  • oh shoot! i followed these steps and i ended the whole thing...i still need to continue the rest, how can i cast off again?

  • Yes Peacemakerz 123 123, you can still knit, you just hold the needles with the cast ons in your right hand! ANYONE CAN DO ANYTHING!

  • im a lefty. can i still knit?

  • this is the first "person" to be able to teach me anything about knitting. being a lefty and somewhat clumsy has hampered me, but these videos are very easy to understand.

  • I renewed my interest in knitting after reading loomknittingnow (.) com

  • thx so much for posting these vids!i watched these when i first started knitting then i forgot how but i knew exactly where to look to remember!RIGHT HERE! lov these vids

  • can u do one on rib stitching please I only learn when u do it cuz u do it just for begginners. Thank u. u taught me how to knit

  • My mom taught me everything about knitting. It's easy!Been doing it for 3 years.

  • aaah thanks .. i know how to knit but i never learned the names of the special knits... (if that makes any sence) right now im trying to make this Marijke scarf and all this little codes are so confusing yet so simple... takes a while to getting used to..

  • god these videos are awesome, thankyou for posting them

  • watch out for wooden needes. they give you splinters. i got a nasty splinter in my finger that took hours to get out. don't get any wooden needles that look frayed or old.

  • Great - thank you

  • I keep getting confused. I'm fine until she pulls it out at 1:08. I can't see what it looks like. When I pull it out from the back the needle only has the yarn I wrapped around it. How do I know if I'm doing it right?

  • @AnonymouStrangers What you do is put the needle downwards into the stitch, and make sure the righthand needle is in the front.then you take the ball end string in between the two needles, then loop it around the front needle and put the front needle into the hole that used to be the first stitch. then just lift it up and pull it off.

  • @wogloof Thanks :)

  • i dont see where u put it in the back

  • thank you!!! im finally getting how to knit!!! thanks so so so much!

  • dont know how to knit but that looks easy the way you are showing it

  • Again, thank you so much!

  • omg lol I have been doing the peral stich on accident I thought I was doing the knit stich

  • I thnk I'm just creating my own stitch! How I wish someone cold just help me check it!

  • I already knew the continental method and got so fast at it, now I'm learning the English method and I feel like i'm starting from the beginning....but these videos are so much easier than learning from those annoying knitting books!!!

  • omg this is very harrd,,,!!!

  • not to be a perv... but 6:40 sounds pretty sexy

  • I just want to say thank you so much. I don't think I could have learned the purl stitch, knit stitch, or casting on without your video. You make it so easy to follow. I still have to learn how to bind off though. Thanks Jennifer

  • TEEHEE Luv it:p

    r u d 1 in d video???

  • I'm learning how to knit with your great tutorial videos. You've made it so easy for me to learn. My question is, " is there such a stitch to give my scarf the look of "V''s going up. or the look of arrows going up?. I hope I make some sense. There was a scarf at the mall that I really liked, I'm not sure if it was machine made. But the look was simple and looked like V's or Arrows going up. Thank you. Your Great!! :)

  • Loved your video. Quick question, I either knit to tight or too losse, what am i doing wrong?

  • Thanks!!

  • thank u i really had a wonderful time doing it and you make it look very easy

  • Great video! Thanks!

  • You're so great :) You make it look so easy, and you go through it so clearly. I LOVE YOU :D xx

  • I wish that was me in the video. I just came across this video and loved it. I thought everyone else would too, so I posted it up. Thanks for the comment.
