GOOD JOB,,for solder. i haved build one same,buy at frys electronic,,,,but this have range only 30 METERS,,,maximal 50 meter,.,nother one is canakit is about 100 meter,,,nother one i build is range 200 meter only with 30cm long antena,,one transistor BC547....4 rasistor, 3 ceramic disc, 1capacitor, 1coil wire,1 trimmer,1mic. total 12 parts.

You can buy them ready made to plug into your ipod or what ever to play over the FM radio. They are cheap.

will this work for tv? i found a RF transmitter kit at Fry's but it only goes 300ft how do i boost the signal to somewhere near a half mile?(it has an RC car antenna.)

Well, you don't have to keep the transmitter in your house. A lot of people build a long range PLL transmitter, place it somewhere (woods, in a tree, or in an old builing), turn it on and even if the cops come they just take the transmitter.

No man, you just leave the tranmitter behind, with no man. Friends of me used to build like 3 transmitters, place them in some old building, turn one on. They sat in the area of the transmitter and listening to their own music, once when they saw the cops, they waited till they took the transmitter and when the cops where gone after an hald hour they switched the other transmitter on.

If the cops just find a transmittter without a crew, they cant bust anyone.

Yes, but you can use one of those cheap MP3 players (4GB) as an audio source. build the transmitter your own + the amplifier. And order your components online, I noticed that online their are much cheaper.

I used to pay 5 cent for a resistor, now I buy 100 resistors for 2 euro online.

And for the power supply use one of those Velleman accu's, they seem to bee very great.

You dont need them, use one of those Velleman accu's. Or the battery from a motorbike. But you should be becareful with everything.

Well, if you going to plant your transmitter into a tree or some old building I would just make a transmitter. Just make a batch of 5 transmitter in case the police takes one down.

Just start with some easy FM bugs later you can move on the the heavy stuff such as PLL and high wattage transmitters, audio limiters etc. And dont forget to order your components online, because mostly they're cheaper online.

I make one in my Soldering Class. Yes, im a future electronic technician. And it can diffuse up to 200 meter with a 30 cm wire! So imagine with an antenna!!!

go to home depot or radio shack. findthe highest DB rated UHF BOOSTER. its meant for booster the signal into your tv. and can be used to boost a signal out instead of in. buy a few, loop each one into eachother, when i started i had 10db boosters. i boosted the first one by 10 and continously boosted each one by ten after it. but now theres higher DB rated boosters. 7 10db boosters got me to a 7-8 mile radius DEPENDING on Line of Site

the key components are old school video camera. ham radio and an antenna that runs paralell with the ground. not upright like audio antennas. adjust ham radio freq. to certain channels. you can find the freq. chart online somewhere its been awhile so i couldnt tell yo exactly

i built the same one( got it also at frys) and it doesnt seem to work at all! maybe i didnt tune it correctly,but i know for a fact that all my connections are secure and in their right spots. how far down did you screw the little metal piece in the inductor? i might have mine up too high.

Yeah, I'm actually colorblind.  It can be a real pain. It's good to double check with an ohmmeter in any case.

@philentropist yeah man its crazy that people dont know they are color blind until way later sometimes. i think my friend is color blind and he doesnt know it because he said 2 colors looked the same..... and im like waht those are 2 different colors..... and my other friend told me he was color blind, and said 2 different colors look the same also when solving the rubics cube.

i bought the same one a long time ago, it was really good, then i unsoldered the mic and resoldered a male rca plug on it so i could play music thru it. if anyone wants to know how to amplify the output, write me a message, depending on your location and your surroundings, i can show you how to broadcast up to 7 miles. ive had 3 underground stations before

for people seeking power, i used VHF boosters, the ones used for gaining a signal to your tv from an antenna, the ones now go from 10 DB to 48DB. loop them in series and it boosts each one you use htat much more, but on the boosters, theres a INPUT and OUTPUT, the input NORMALLY comes from your antenna and your output NORMALLY goes to your TV. REVERSE the input/outputs accordinally. and your FM transmitter will gain distance up to 10 miles, DEPENDING how many boosters you are using.stay tuned

Yeah! real FM programming is just shitty crap! That is why the FM trasmitter was made.

But, I prefer direct "line in" since FM transmitters are sensitive to interference in some places. Fuck radio!

Yep. It's not strong enough for a digital tuner to pick it up, but my analog clock radio picks it up fine.
