  • I wonder how much a full set of these piggy banks would be worth if in mint condition. I have seen partial sets on Cash in the Attic a few times

  • I probably should stop watching old 80's ads... they're creeping me out with all the childhood associations.

  • JUst had an awful thought -the kids in this ad would now be in their mid 30s,and probably married witth families of their own-how embarrassed would you be to have this as a childhood memory? lol (seriously though it was a nice ad)

  • Remember kiddies, this offer expires mid 1986. LOL. :D

  • these are worth like £100-200

  • My nephew used to collect the Natwest piggies. He's 26 now.

  • One of them looks like my mum an awfull lot

  • I hear Sir Nathaniel got a £250K performance bonus last year.

  • Too cute! Always loved it as a kid though! What were the piggies' names then?! All of them?

  • Sir Nathaniel

    Lady Hilary

    Annabel

    Maxwell

    Woody

  • Thank you! :-)

  • because they're pigs dosn't make it rascist. it's because of the phrase "piggy" bank anyway.

  • I use to have some of this piggies, but i never got any higher than maxwell tho

  • With soaring inflation and naff interest rates, I'd tell them to spend their money!

  • I still have Wade with the stopper. Wade is the only one i had. He was full of 1 and 2p coins. It mounted up to a couple of quid, which is ironic since he is only worth a couple of quid now. I checked on ebay hoping it would be worth something, but its not!

  • you gota think, this advert was showen in the 80s.

there were not many people to offend with pigs in england back then.

  • I have a Woody Natwest piggy!

  • I remember wanting those pigs so badly!

Does anybody remember the 1983 Natwest ad that was an animation that started off at the sky and eventually went to below ground level- that is my favourite ad ever!

  • excellent.. i have the full set of the Natwest Pigs.

  • I've got all 5 too!

  • Me and my brother both had sets of all 5 as well. Weren't there more than 5 though? I seem to remember there being more but I was only little at the time. I wasn't even born when this advert was aired! haha.

On topic with the advert, I wonder if anyone of those people in the pig suits dropped them and they had to be replaced? haha

  • There was another Natwest piggy, called Cousin Wesley, but it didn't come until the 90s.
