JUst had an awful thought -the kids in this ad would now be in their mid 30s,and probably married witth families of their own-how embarrassed would you be to have this as a childhood memory? lol (seriously though it was a nice ad)
I still have Wade with the stopper. Wade is the only one i had. He was full of 1 and 2p coins. It mounted up to a couple of quid, which is ironic since he is only worth a couple of quid now. I checked on ebay hoping it would be worth something, but its not!
Does anybody remember the 1983 Natwest ad that was an animation that started off at the sky and eventually went to below ground level- that is my favourite ad ever!
Me and my brother both had sets of all 5 as well. Weren't there more than 5 though? I seem to remember there being more but I was only little at the time. I wasn't even born when this advert was aired! haha.
On topic with the advert, I wonder if anyone of those people in the pig suits dropped them and they had to be replaced? haha
I wonder how much a full set of these piggy banks would be worth if in mint condition. I have seen partial sets on Cash in the Attic a few times

I probably should stop watching old 80's ads... they're creeping me out with all the childhood associations.

There was another Natwest piggy, called Cousin Wesley, but it didn't come until the 90s.
