dont feel like he should come out to friends cuz he is just curious. If he doesnt exactly know y should he say anything? I think you are partially wrong on the doll test. Blacks are like 12% of the population, asians are way less than that. I think blacks and asians are represented proportionally in most of the media. I think that the color white is a symbol for good in other things, like wedding dresses. black/darkness is a symbol for bad things. it's as simple as that. it really sucks.

I was one of the children that was involved in the "Doll Test"...at that point in the 60's, we didn't have many black dolls! And the black dolls we had were more like rag dolls, homemade dolls, or black dolls that looked like white dolls. It is possible for cats to gain weight in the winter time but there are many factors involved. I'm assuming your cat is indoor/outdoor since you stated that she has come in contact with many male cats. If that is the case, you should definately have her spayed. There are so many unwanted pets in shelters that end up being put to sleep because there is simply no room. In addition, she will be less susceptible to diseases. PLEASE have her spayed. It is not cruel as some would have you believe.
